His combination of size, athletic ability, and natural receiving skills gives him clear upside as a seam-stretching target who can both challenge defenses vertically and work the intermediate areas with precision.

His best fit at the next level will be with a creative offensive coordinator who can maximize his receiving ability while continuing to develop his blocking technique. Teams running heavy play-action concepts from 12 personnel should be particularly intrigued by what Arroyo brings to the table - his ability to sell the run before releasing into routes makes him an ideal weapon for that style of offense.

Apparently he’s had some knee issues the last couple of years.
If the 2nd paragraph evaluation is accurate he will fit in well with Kubiaks Offense.

A little stunned at this time, because I would have taken Oluwafemi Oladejo EDGE here, as he I felt he would have added more value to our DE rotation, but obviously they felt there was a need at TE. I think Oluwafemi will be a electric player in the league for the Titans.

This Offense uses the TE more than we have during JS’s tenure here, so a pass catching TE is a must and Arroyo is one of the better ones in this draft. This will give us 2 young TE’s in Barner and Arroyo with Barner being more of a blocking TE. I read a comment somewhere that Arroyo could even play as a WR in some cases which if true means he’s got some good ability and may lessen the need for a big body WR.

Look I understand its nice to get hyped about people we just drafted, but do you know much about Elijah Arroyo? I don't know if you do, but he has missed quite a bit of games due to injuries. He suffered a torn ACL, and has knee issues back to back seasons. I am not saying we don't need a 2nd TE as much as we need a WR, but I just saw fit an EDGE would have offered a higher value pick at that time. Again, he could be an awesome player, but my concerns are the injury history he has had. TEs like RBs are asked to do a lot, and the risk of injury is always high. I would love to see this team get the most out of him and I hope he has a great career with us.

And we don’t have enough TE’s on the team that can play in this Offense at a high level, so it may be a case that TE was a bigger need than Edge at this time. I would have rather we taken a G or C and fix that problem than a TE or Edge, but we only have a limited number of draft picks.

Not crazy about this pick. We drafted another Noah Fant with an injury history. A lot of the mock drafters and talking heads really like him though. I hope Kubiak gets the best out of him.

Yeah, I'm not very excited about this pick, either. Of the 4 players we've drafted so far, this is my least favorite selection. This guy is a Jimmy Graham-type TE (ironically, they both went to college at Miami), doesn't seem like a good fit with the type of run-first offense Mac wants to run. He's not a 3-down player.

Totally agree with what you are saying on the evaluation. I think he will offer an excellent option as a receiving TE, keep in mind Miami was a pass heavy, spread offense which is completely contrast to our soon to be run heavy offense. I don't hate the pick, but leaving Oluwafemi Oladejo on the board maybe something we look back and realize would have been an instant impact player for our defense.

it reminds me of when I lived in Arizona, and the Cardinals passed on DK Metcalf and took Andy Isabella before him. They never let that pick down for the next 3 seasons as DK tore the Cards up. So I will be patient, and hope Elijah becomes a star with us.

A bit of buyers remorse or opportunity cost. I’m concerned we didn’t draft a Center or 2nd Guard. We did draft a couple of Tackles but our conversion success rate to Guard is pretty dismal.
