yep... you think giving him away for the 7th round pick has come up for discussion in New England, where Brady says they have 1 receiver on their team?

I haven't watched enough replays to see how his blocking is, but his pass catching ability is outstanding.

If we go deep in the playoffs, John Schneider needs to get some sort of award. He's brought in a bunch of players that have really contributed, Hollister being just one example.

I don't even know where we found this kid. He's a gamer.

Same place we got Josh Gordon: The Patriots.

Yeah, Bo Duke fleeced the Pats this year didn't he?

Yep, but the biggest fleece job is Diggs for a 5th round pick. It's amazing the number of productive moves he's made yet held onto the lion's share of our draft capital. Usually teams have to mortgage their future to add the types of impact players that we have brought in.

Another trade that Schneider made, or rather one that he didn't make, that's beginning to reap benefits is when he held onto Rashaad Penny, who's finally starting to produce.

I expect JS to trade back again this year and recover some of the expended draft capital.

As going out on a limb goes, that's pretty much standing on a stump. JS about always trades back ... which is OK by me!

I generally don't mind it, either unless there is a diamond sitting there like Fletcher Cox was, but if the talent level
is the same, then why not get more picks for moving down.
With 2 2nd round picks, I wonder if he might consider moving up in the 2nd for someone who they think will be an
immediate impact player taking into account they had moved down in the 1st. That extra 2nd pick might add
another dynamic to his strategy.

Couple of notes on this discussion.

We wouldn't even know who Hollister is, except for Will Dissley's injury. While he was on the practice squad any other team (including NE) could of signed him, so even we didn't see the potential until after he came up to the 53.

We didn't "steal" Josh Gordon from the Pats. We picked him up off the waiver line, after they released him for reasons still unknown. Still a good pickup, and glad he's here, but he's not exactly burning down the league.

Best pickup is Diggs, without a doubt our back 4 DB's are better with him on the field.

Luke Willson being injured has given Hollister more PT, too.

Whether JS "fleeced" the Patriots or if he was simply in the right place at the right time, we've benefited heavily by the acquisitions JS has made since the season started.

Agree 100%... JS's moves this year, post draft, are outstanding -- even add in Clowney to the list.
