They have Kittle back, and Sanders they never had the first game. We don't have the personnel to cover that group. 35-14. Hope I am wrong.

As disappointing a game as I can remember. We need to get healthy and obviously play much better. When Pete-Ball looks bad it looks really bad. If we get our guys back we should be fine. It was always going to be tough with our philosophy and injured players, but we really made it tough on ourselves today. The perfect example was that offensive sequence after the blocked punt: run -4 yds, pass +12, run -3 yards. We had way too many negative running plays and just basic blown assignments, but that’s what happens when you have 4-6 starters out.

We didn't have much chance today with 1/2 a line and running backs. Hard to believe Metcalf didn't have a target.

On the bright side, our road record is superior to our home record this year if we end up as a Wild Card.

Wow, that was pathetic, the Seahawks should be embarrassed, they played like crap... injuries are decimating the team, and next week looks ugly. It just seems to me that when a seahawk gets hurt he’s out, and probably next week as well.
I know injuries are apart of the game, but geez the Seahawks are the walking wounded right now. Not sure why but they aren’t playing very good at home, lose next week and they are .500 at home that’s unexceptable... they used the be lights out at home, I noticed a couple years ago it started where they used to blow everyone out at home then barely squeezing by winning to now losing at home.... this was one ugly game not sure they can get over this one, 49 ers are riding high and healthy and the hawks are going in the opposite direction, the rams game a few weeks ago was suppose to be the buttkicking wake up call they would learn from, but I guess not .... unless they miraculously get everyone back for next week and beyond. The Seahawks will have only 2 more games to their season.... being out of sink and what we just witnessed shouldn’t be happening in December....

I think we do have at least decent quality depth. Or did, before the depth got injured. I just listened to Pete’s post game press conference. Duane Brown is having knee surgery tomorrow, Chris Carson and C.J. Procise are both out for the year. With Penny out, we are down to our 4th string rookie RB behind a suddenly suspect O-line. Iupati is questionable at best and we obviously lost Britt earlier in the year. Hunt’s deficits are made more obvious w/ the injuries next to him, including Dissly. And then there are the injuries upon injuries on D.

Not at all good information. No excuses; lots of teams have injuries. Next man up. But missing 3/5 of our o-line, our best TE, top 3 RBs, the safety who made us better etc. etc. etc. ... I think 11-4 might well be a disaster.

Carson is out for the year? The guy does well all year and can't stay healthy when we absolutely need him? Just more proof that Marshawn was a remarkable player not only for his abilities, but his sheer toughness and durability. Procise being injured is like saying the sun rose. Not surprising.

Well, back to the drawing board. We don't have the health for a deep run.

Duane Brown is at the end of his career. We knew it when we re-signed him. He was always a few year fix and not a long-term fix.

Ya lots of teams have injuries but not like this and still expect to go into playoff and be competitive let alone win.Not sure I’ve seen injuries mount this much for one team in the last 2 weeks like they have.... it’s not looking good not matter how the team or fans try to spin it... major hits thru out the team, I can’t see how they will manage to win with all the injuries, between injuries and recent suspensions it feels like a dozen starter are out for season from both sides of the ball

I'm wondering if we should have kept Hundley. He looked pretty good when he came in to sub for Murray. They have the same style of play. The Hawks' D doesn't cope well with mobile quarterbacks.

We're done Bob, this is the new reality with RW's contract. We will not win another game this year.

In all honesty, it needs to be said that the Cards played harder and they were tougher than we were today. You can't take that away from them and you can't blame the poor performance solely on the Hawks' injury situation.

Frankly I anticipate an ass whipping at the hands of the 9ers as they appear to be at full strength and I barely recognize our roster anymore. But stranger things have happened. Seattle has 2 weeks to figure it out. They will be playing in the WC round and likely on the road.

We are going to find out how good PC and JS are in the next couple of weeks. It has nothing to do with Russell's contract, not sure why anyone thinks these things. It's the NFL. Teams are up and down.

It has more to do with bad drafting and wasting too much draft capital on temporary players rather than drafting quality talent. We been trading picks away like baseball cards and not retaining the players we trade for. Every team doing well is drafting better than we are, though part of the reason for that is they spent a lot of time in the basement except for Baltimore and New England who are just good at getting quality people. They don't sign them, they draft and develop them. We been missing big time in a lot of areas. And surprisingly on defense where we're usually good. At least this year they did a good job of preserving draft capital and making some cheap, quality moves that look good for the long-term like Diggs.

Until Pete gets this defense rebuilt and finds a runner that can last, Pete Ball won't do too well. We need that runner and we need a defense that can keep the score down and get the ball back. We're not built for high scoring games.

Had we had our roster from 5 or 6 weeks ago we walk on them but its the worst late season gutting of the Hawks roster through injury I can remember in 40 +years of fandom. No excuses but its an explanation. Right its Wilsons contract, not the fact they have not hit on many FAs or Picks. .Or the fact they have had 8 years to fix the oline and still have. Or the fact they have money and will have even more next year. Lets blame it on Wilson. So another game, so we end up 11.5 and that bad? So lets play what if, say we dont give him his contract, and we dont have him what do you think our record would be then? sa 7-9 at best. Now lets say we keep him but on the tag, which would have meant about 30 mil anyway. The only issue I have with him getting his new deal is one not protecting the investment with pass blockers and 2 not creating and staying with a system built for him. Bit I waste my breath you have always been anti Wilson.

I don’t know why fans seem so stunned about getting beat by AZ. It’s not like they were 0-14. And they played the 9ers very tough both games. The Browns team they hung 38 on had won 4 of 5 and was fancying a playoff bid. As for AZ they got blew out 3 times by my count and every other loss was one score or so.

Add to that the fact Seattle played over half the game without a 1250 yard back or a guy with regular season experience, decimated line , huge losses on defense , a receiver who had been a big part of the offense suspended. You are no longer what your record says you are when you don’t have many of the key players who got you where you are. And by that same token when you’re a young team and coach you’re more dangerous every game. It was a perfect storm. At least PC , JS and RW etc know the weather forecast for next Sunday . Stormy

38 points scored with the benefit of Kyler Murray for the entire game. It wasn't surprising that our defense struggled.

No excuses but its an explanation. We played the entire second half with basically no running threat at all and 3 of the 5 linemen we started the year with out of the lineup much of the game , 2 the entire game. Establishing the run and play action off it IS our offense. Its a sickening but understandable loss.

The offense was struggling before all those guys went down. Besides, we've been minus OL starters before and didn't look THAT bad. We scored just 7 points in the first half. We had 4 straight 3-and-outs after the botched 4th and one FG non attempt. And once again, this wasn't the 49'ers or Patriots defense we are talking about. The Cards have the WORST DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE.

As the thread title states, it was a pathetic showing, and no amount of excuses or 'explanations' will change that.

There are reasons and there are excuses.
I think there are reasons for the poor performance.
#1 and #2 TE's out
#1, #2, #3 RB's out or didn't complete the game.
#1 C, #1 LT out and #1 LG dealing with a neck injury.
#3 WR out by suspension

#1 DE out
Key DL (Woods) out by suspension
#1 CB out
1 starting Safety out
MLB dealing with a sprained ankle

That's 9 starters and a couple of key rotational players not fully available and it's a lot to overcome even with good depth.
Too bad it happened at the end of the year when most available players are already signed to replace players on other
teams and trades are no longer allowed.
