I seriously doubt that he drafts an IOL earlier than a late 3rd or 4th round after all the best are taken and the revolving door will continue to spin.

Offensive guard is one of if not the only position where top 10 draft picks aren't spent, so JS isn't alone in his devaluation of them, so we do have to acknowledge that fact.

Regardless of what JS has said or hasn't said in the past, I'm willing to give him one more chance. We have a widely recognized need in the IOL, and he needs to address it. There's no excuses this offseason as he's flush with cap space and draft capital. If he doesn't, then I'm off the bandwagon.

For how many years have we bypassed in both FA and the draft Pro Bowl caliber IOL? At least 3 Centers when we didn't have a single good Center on the team and opted for moving a failed Tackle or Guard in the hope he worked out for a year and another handful of Guards. And we on this draft forum identified most of them prior to the draft as a need. His history is when a Guard or Center gets to the point that he's going to make an average salary at their position he doesn't re-sign them or in the Unger case trades them.
How long do we have to be disappointed watching premier Interior Linemen go off the board after we selected a backup DL or other player at a position of strength? It's been at least 10 consecutive years of failure to address the issue and he still hasn't fixed it. I have only a faint glimmer of hope that he's seen the light but it will have to be a huge change of character for him to do so. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

Stream Hawk was correcting his grammar. Ramblow didn't use correct punctuation, which given his 6th grade education, isn't surprising. It should read "it's" with an apostrophe so that it reads "it is"
