NFC Playoff Predictions

Winner gets the usual bragging rights and a coveted "Get off of Percy Harvin "Haters" List" certificate.

The Teams:

NFC WILD-CARD ROUND (Jan. 4-5)

No. 5 San Francisco 49ers at No. 4 Green Bay Packers, Sunday Jan. 5 at 4:40 p.m. ET on Fox

No. 6 New Orleans Saints at No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles, Saturday Jan. 4 at 8:10 p.m. ET on NBC

I predict the Eagles (#3) over the Saints.

I predict the 49ers (#5) over the Packers

Round 2 Semi-Finals

I predict the Carolina over the Eagles

I predict the Seahawks over the 49ers

NFC Championship

I predict the Seahawks over Carolina.

And on the 8th Day The Lord created Marshawn Lynch.

So it is written......So it shall be done.

I'll go Niners over GB -WC- Green Bay needs Mathews to win this and he's recovering from thumb surgery, their D is too crappy.

Eagles over Saints-WC- Saints suck in bad weather.

Seahawks over Niners- We shall have our revenge over our last loss. Kap will cry into his bicep.

Eagles over Carolina- Total upset!

Bird bowl NFC Championship game.

Seahawks over Eagles. Blow out.

Interesting about you calling for the Eagles to make the finals - I think they are the most disrespected team in the playoffs. They have the #1 rusher in the NFL. And what QB has played better than Nick Foles over the past 7 weeks?

Hard to argue with this scenario, since I imagine this is how most will see it. Wait, strike that, reverse it, the pundits will find angles on why the Seahawks will be one and done.

Nevermind:)

We're winning it all this year. I honestly believe that.

GO, SEAHAWKS!!!

Part of me wants to see the Packers take the 49ers out, part of me wants to see the 9ers win - just so we can greet them at home with open arms.

Then again, it would be great to see Tate in the end zone vs. GB.

Mixed emotions over here.

Yes Green Bay is quite capable of winning this game - anytime an NFL team who is at home with the best QB in the game has an excellent chance of winning in a one off contest. Plus as another poster indicates it looks like Packer weather for the Sunday Contest.

SF over GB (We have the strongest division in the NFL).
Phil over NO(Because they are at Phili of course, no dome no win)

SEA over SFO (we are the strongest team in the strongest division in the NFL, sweet revenge )
Phili over Carolina(This qb is on fire)

SEA over Phili We put out the fire. Our defense makes him look like a first year qb at Columbia University.

Well since everyone went pretty much the same way, I'll change it up.....

GB over SF 32-28 ( SF pass defense isn't as strong as people believe add in missing Rodgers and I think Cobb and Nelson are going to shred them in the snow)

NO over Philly 27-20 ( this one is tough for me, which occurs? NO road woes, or Philly's home woes? Both teams are incomplete I picked Philly to advance before the season, but IMO that pass defense in Philly, coupled with the Aints ability to pressure with only four swings the game)

Carolina over GB 24-21 ( Cam pulls a last second drive to win the game at home, Riviera HAS to actually trust a FG at the end, pundits all over the media get on their knees to polish Cams stones)

Seattle over NO 42-17 ( feeling like pulling out a win in Philly gives them the ability to shed those road woes in Seattle proves to be unfounded, Seattle gives up worthless points in the fourth quarter with backups playing the majority of it)

Seattle over Carolina 24-13 ( media professes Carolina and Cam unbeatable coming into the game based on the newly polished stones, and while difficult, Seattle wins in much the same fashion the did against the Rams. Harvin runs wild for over 200 yards of offense and two Td's)

Seattle over Cincy 35-17 ( Defense garners two scores to make this look easier than it is, I celebrate into the wee hours of the morning:) and having already requested the day after their SB win off back before training camp get to sleep in and watch all those fools apologise for their stupidity, and doubting them)

There are a lot of people out there that are waiting for my predictions on all playoff games so they can call their bookies and lay down their bets based on what I have forecasted. I owe it to them to post my prediction for all playoff teams, not just the NFC.
