Correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't the same format we played last year. Unless I am mistaken, this "survival" pickem you only pick one winner per week, pick two losers and you're out. So in other words, you look for the most lopsided matchup and pick the gimme.

I was hoping for a game like last season where you pick a winner for every game on the schedule so you maintain interest in all the scores, not just one per week.

Edit: Never mind, I see that there are two leagues. Sorry for the rant, DR

I figured the Saints would crush a lot of people for this pool today. How in the world do they allow the Bucs to beat them?

Lucky I went with Carolina.

Yea, I was a sucker, too, bought into the "Saints are unbeatable in the dome" logic. I got my arse whipped just about everywhere, lost by 30 points in Fantasy Football, picked just 4 winners in the Pickum league, will be the butt of the office jokes this morning as I have to work with an obnoxious Cheese Head and a couple of Cougs I've been unmerciful to...they're 2-1 now, which is the equivalent to a Lombardi if you're a Coug. Bad weekend all around. It would be a good day to call in sick.

Trust me, I came very close to taking the Saints, since this seemed to be a game they would not only win, but cover by at least 10 pts or so. When you get whipped by a sub par team, at home, with a rookie QB (who does deserves credit for having a nice game, though), you're in trouble. At least the Seahawks lost while being competitive, and putting themselves in a position to win. Plenty of other teams with bigger problems than us, IMO.

I also imagine that Vegas had a pretty good money making day (they usually do). GB was one favorite that's a popular team to bet on that wne. Dallas is another, or course, though they'll be home dogs with Wheeden under center here coming up.

People must've lost their shorts on the Rams and Dolphins, and there were 4 home dogs that won straight up. Week 2 was about as unpredictable as any I can remember. It actually more resembled an opening day when I think about it.

Again, we'll be fine. It's a marathon, not a sprint. We've stumbled some out of the blocks, but the Seahawks still have plenty of closing speed to finish on top of the division.

As bad as my weekend was, I was able to pull a good one on an obnoxious Packers fan, and I did it in front of several of my fellow diehard 12's. The said Packers fan, while strolling up to me while touching his elbows behind his back, asked me if I watched the game last night, to which my response was "No, I watched the replay of the NFC Championship Game." He didn't have a response, grimaced as if he'd been kicked in the balls, closed his eyes and turned his head while the others were busting a gut.

         - to the Packers, it was their SB since we embarrassed them thrice in strange fashion at the CLINK. Their players and fans were oh so ready to talk trash. It's like I told a Cheesehead here at work. You won a week #2 game. Come and see me at the end of the season.

Actually, as a whole, most Packers fans are great people, a cut above a Raiders fan or a Cowboys fan. But sticking it to him when he thought he had me at a disadvantage sure felt good.

Glad you enjoyed my sense of humor, sis.

On top of everything else, I switched my original pick from Tampa Bay (who beat Jax easily), to KC, who failed miserably at home vs the Bears, lol.

Never change your pick.

I picked Atlanta over Washington and had one strike against me. That was too close for comfort.

Classic.

I wait several wekks to use the Seahawks for my pick...and they pull a stunt like they did today - at home no less.

Good luck to the rest of you.

ObS and I both got our second strike last week, and it doesn't seem to want to let me make a pick this week so I guess there is no tie breaker ... so congrats Old Man, there's nobody I'd rather share a title with!

Wait - both of you guys were still alive until last week?
Impressive.
Congrats to both on the tie if that's how it works out.
I've won it 3 times (including PI days), and the longest it went was barely 10 weeks with others bowing out early.
Still looking for 1st ever pick em win:)

No kidding, we seemed to picking the same team every week, including the one that got us both in the end ...
