I don't blame Bailey for that Touchdown.

I blame the coaching staff for not having the inside pass rushing monster Frank Clark in the game for that entire drive.

Reggie White rushing couldn't keep an uncovered receiver from scoring.

Stop the dancing baldwin and plow ahead\
It should have been 3rd and 1 or first down if dougie did not dance

I blame this loss on Doug Baldwin Dance when he caught the ball on second down and the coaching staff for keeping Frank Clark on the bench during the entire last drive by St Louis when they scored the TD to Tie.

I blame this loss on the OL they gave up 6 sacks. You cannot win games winning six sacks.

O line did appear to be the weakest link on the field. Slot and safety coverage was just behind.

Yep - just rewatched that play in slow motion - Doug Decided to dance when he caught the ball on second and five - had he put his head down and moved straight up field after he caught it it would have been a first down or 3rd and less than a yard.

The o-line wasn't great, but considering it's the third time they've played together and they played one of the (if not the) toughest front 7s, I cannot really see blaming the loss on them.

The secondary was our strength, now it's a major liability. Bailey ain't Kam, Williams (Td notwithstanding) isn't Maxi (I don't even think he's as good as Simon) and Burley is not lane. Hell, Earl isn't even Earl. What a bummer that was to watch.

That's 2 games in a row Pete's lost us by getting cute.

I think he didn't want the final play of the SB to be his worst call ever.

Tough loss. A few things that stood out as poor:
1. Calling a defensive timout 3 seconds shy of the two minute warning. WT-?!?!?! That timeout would have come in handy when we got the ball back with 53 sec on the clock.
2. Continuing not to play the read option where RW runs the ball every so often, keeping our offense multi-dimensional ... and not just two dimensional. This incessant desire by someone - whether it be Bevell, Carroll, or Wilson himself - to prove RW's value as a Manning-like pocket passer is getting extremely annoying. We haven't run the read option since last regular season. It nearly cost us the Green Bay game. It cost us the SB. It cost us today. I'm not asking that we run our franchise QB every play, but designing some runs for him - maybe just two a game - opens up the other parts of our game. He's good at it. Without it, he isn't what we're paying him for. I haven't seen it since December of last year. Long overdue in opening it back up.
3. Sloppy tackling, and weak middle. They were killing us with that screen pass, and were getting more yards after short passes than they should have been able to do.

With all this said, I actually thought our O-line looked alright. They certainly got better on the pass blocking as the game wore on. I was okay with the onsides kick call ... but it didn't work out, so naturally, everyone is questioning PC.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

:)

Still love Pete, and I want him to stay as our coach, but I'm gettin' a little tired of he & Bevel trying to prove how far out of the box they can think in critically important situations. Leave "cute" to little girls and kittens and let's just play football.

I figured we'd split these first two games anyway ... now we just gotta win next week.

Watching the packers game now. Not sure we can win iin Lambeau if we play like we did today.

Aaron Rodgers will exploit this (which is EXACTLY how I saw us on D):

"Sloppy tackling, and weak middle. They were killing us with that screen pass, and were getting more yards after short passes than they should have been able to." That and he'll go after Williams too. BurleY & Dion will get torched.
