Plays I'm hoping to see

- Get Willson downfield, especially on seam routes. He's a natural mismatch.

- Screen passes.

- Throws to Michael Robinson coming out of the backfield. We were deadly with these last season.

- Something unconventional. I think the last play that surprised me a little was the flea flicker to Kearse in the Atlanta game. We were much more innovative last season (remember the Tate TD pass to Rice against the Jets?) and in previous seasons. I'd like to see some wrinkles now that we are in win or go home mode.

- Get Kearse involved downfield like we were doing earlier in the season.

What you got?

I'm not sure how much we can count on from Willson. I was shocked to see him practicing.

Speaking of tight ends, I'm wondering if we'll involve Zach Miller more. Last year in the playoffs, he became Russell's security blanket.

You know how Pete handles the injured guys...if they are healthy enough to go, they will be full speed. I think Willson has just made a very quick recovery. I suspect he will be ready.

Agreed on Miller. He had his best game of the season last time vs New Orleans (5 for 83 and a TD).

Harvin will open up EVERYTHING. Run game, Baldwin/Tate/Kearse, Miller... even if they don't have Harvin targeted directly a lot, he's going to create problems.

Plays without penalty's for me thanks.

Not digging the most penalized team in the NFL thing.

Music to The 12th Man's ears

Just having Percy return kickoffs would be great, even if his snap count at WR is limited.

*Give RW the green light to run, period. And if he has it already, then he needs to do it more. His judgement is obviously good, but there's been plenty of times where he coulda got more yards keeping it himself than passing.

*Down and distance - Bevell gets cute with the calls at the most inopportune times. On 3rd down, just get the yards needed. Don't draw up a play that has us throwing 30+ yds down field. I get that we've hit on some of these, and if there's a blown coverage then it goes without saying. But be smart about it.

*Burn the clock - Duh, lol. I know it's the plan for every team every week, but this is especially key against a Saints squad that will need more than the usual number of drives and plays to beat us. Limit those, and a team like New Orleans gets even more desperate.

*Plug the middle - N.O. ran for 185 yds last week in Philly. I doubt they come anywhere near that in Seattle, so make it so. Brees didn't look very good vs the Eagles, either. 1 TD, 2 INT's. With no run game, we won't have to worry about any play action stuff, and perhaps force him into mistakes.

The more I think about this game, the better I feel about it. I'm being generous to N.O. with this score, but will stick with it anyway...

Seahawks, 37-20.

The play I'm hoping to see the most?
The kneel down, kill the clock, victory formation play. I LOVE that play!!!

More of "Mini Beast" Golden Tate blowing up like vs the Rams. Hes becoming as big a part of our personality as Beast,Sherman, RW etc. More porno dances from Micheal Bennett. It always means good things have happened. 6 carries for Christine Micheal if the game is tight and Lynch is being stymied like the last meeting. If we don't need him save him for the conference championship or Super Bowl but he has another gear. Harvin housing a kickoff return to start the second half. Pick 6es by all our pro bowl secondary guys. OK that ought to be enough..........

Zornny,

I think Wilson has the green light to run. He's just so focused on passing in scramble situations. Sometimes that had hurt I cases where he can easily run for the first but tries to pass for more. All I all though better that than a tuck and run QB that doesn't keep his eyes down field.

Sorry bro, but that had some Normey in it. Made me laugh out loud. 8-)

LOL!!!

No one can replicate Normey...Except perhaps Jim Ignakowski of Taxi

IG summed it up for me. I'd repeat what others said. Get innovative. Stay focused. Don't be afraid to change game plan if its not working.

I hear ya, and more often than not his eyes down field and throws on the move work out.
In that sense, he's doing the right thing overall.
I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of 3rd and short, where running for it eliminates the possibility of a drop or errant throw (rare as it is) on his part.
We also haven't seen much of the RO lately in general, so I'm curious if we go to it much in the playoffs.

I don't know of how many situations where he could have just ran for a quick first down where he instead passed it. Probably more than a couple times this year. However, he has connected on many plays where he has decided to pass in that situation...until recently.
I think he ought to get the easy first down any way he can. If its running so be it.
Kap won the game for the Niners last week because he was able to run and get the first down, TWICE on the same drive.

I think that the Saints might try a trick play or two, especially in the beginning. They want to quiet the 12s. I remember that onside kick they pulled off in the superbowl a few years ago. Id like to see the hawks do something like that.

Vegas makes a good point. I think the Saints are more likely to pull out some trick plays than the Hawks. I just hope we are ready for it/them when they happen.

I just hope PH's presence allows success for Lynch to run.

I'm still somewhat worried about their tight-end. I think he will have more success this game.

A very valid concern. Who will cover Grahm with KJ out?

I would have to think that we may see a little more read option this time around. Seems like Bevell has dialed it back a bit this season compared to last, and it was a huge source of chunk plays in last year's playoffs.

They say it will be by committee, we will see!

It was by committee last time...yes KJ Wright had an AMAZING game against him, but he was far from the only person who covered him. There was at least one player who actually spent more time covering him in fact, but it was several players who did it. I see no reason to change that now, missing KJ Wright might hurt a bit, but it's not the end of the world, someone will step up.
Let's not forget too, we just happen to have a safety by the name of Kam Chancellor who can run with Graham, is darn near as big as Graham, and is one mean SOB!
If necessary, Kam can handle it, no problem.

Not me, lol.
I don't think we'll need to, anyway.

I invite the Saints to do it, because they're in the more desperate situation playing at The Clink, and would give us a shorter field to work with when they blow it:)

Was just thinking about that earlier today, and I hope we do see RW do more of it.

If nothing else, it would give Ryan and the Saints more to think about, since we have backed off of it for most of the regular season. And if we catch an aggressive Saints' D off guard, it could produce huge gains. IMO, Wilson should look to run more anyway, particularly on 3rd and short if he has a clear lane to do so.

Like others, I don't want to see a 35 yard pass on 3rd and 6.

I want to see some smart football. If the saints run D is as good as advertised, then augment the plan a bit.

Go HAWKS!

Did anybody else see the legion of boom getting in Grahams kitchen in the pregame warm up? They were razzing him pretty good and really got him pissed off.

Actually I think it was Bruce Irvin got 'im riled, either way I'm with Eisen and the guys in getting pumped for this game watching it!

Hopefully Irvin isn't warming up to get some stupid penalty flags thrown his way. You can bet the Saints now know that they can push is buttons then watch him self destruct all over the field. I just wish the Hawks coaching staff would be honest with themselves and admit they goofed when they drafted this bum. Bench him now and put in someone who can do the job.

Nearly had to eat crow on my last comment here.
Couldn't believe it when Tate had hands of stone for the onside.
