Gabbert

Ive been watching a few clips of Gabbert. He was awful as a rook being thrown into the fire. His second year he started 10 games. He had 9 TDs and 6 picks and was sacked 21 times. Bottom line they didnt win, he looked shellshocked and seemed to have David Carr syndrome. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. He looked more courageous than I remember and beat the blitz for a couple of TD's making nice throws on the run.He also rushed for nearly 40 yards.
2 picks though and probably its a loss to a slumping Atlanta team if Quinn doesn't kick a FG on the goal line down 4 with 3 minutes to play. To their credit the 9ers killed the remaining clock.

I'm curious to see how Gabbert handles the Clink and the 12s not to mention the pass rush and secondary of Seattle.

So what do you expect today? Could Gabbert be any worse vs Seattle than Kap was?

I fully expect another free Jumbo Jack on Monday (minimum of 3 sacks). I think our defense looks good today.

I wonder if Tebow is waiting by the phone. if Blaine throws a stinker maybe Tim will be worth a try.

Gabbert has not played too badly since taking over for Kaep.
His stats for today were decent, all things considered (22/34, 264 yds, 1TD & no INT's).

Either way, they are on the eve of a considerable overhaul by season's end.

Gabbert started the day with that deer in the headlights look but he pulled it together and played some damn good ball at times. He is better than Kaep. Its fortunate the offense and Wilson and Rawls in particular were so effective or we might be having an entirely different conversation.
