Official Seahawks vs Vikings Game Thread

Postby savvyman » Sun Jan 10, 2016 10:55 am

First lets stop and give thanks to the entire Seahawk team & coaching staff, front office and all employees for delivering to us fans another post season experience where for a few hours a week we get to enjoy a special time as fans.

This has been the most weird season under Pete Caroll but we are in the playoffs - Let's do this - Go Hawks!

FYI - My advice to DVR this game - we are about to enter the 7 month period of no Football and you will be glad to pull up these games sometime to watch again over the next few months.

Nice to see Kam back in there - He just laid a real playoff quality lick on Adrian peterson on that 3rd down game.

Damn it. Hate to give up a 4th down conversion. Could have been huge field position

We're a step behind making the stop on these short throws. We normally stuff those as soon as the catch is made.

OK - Seahawks vikings are willing to throw underneath all game long...... (patriots, Chargers successful game plans.....)

Nice stop on 3rd down!!

Bennet came to play! Looks like that ball was stripped out from Peterson ~ he definitely wasn't giving himself up as he was going backwards.

What a story Chritine M is - From cut by 3 teams and on the street to starting on a National televised playoff game.

So far, I don't like our game plan. Why is RW throwing to the side of the field where the sun is in the receiver's eyes???

Oh, and Ryan, just kick the ball and not try to be a hero.

Sheesh, we look totally unprepared for the cold weather.

Was anybody else worried that Wilson is keeping his hands in his front pouch until the very last second? Especially when Lewis has been know to hike the ball funky.

The Vikes seems to be squeezing an extra yard to two after contact, finishing going forward on every play.

Right now holding them to a FG attempt will be a win

Dang! If Sherm gets to that tip there was no one to stop him.

After the turn over I will take a giving up a FG. Now we just need to go score ourselves.

I'll take that - giving up 3 after turning the ball over on the 29. Nice D.

Let's put a drive together - let the D thaw out a bit on the heated seats.

A team should not be able to challenge the spot of the ball AFTER the chains have already been moved. How do we know the chains will be moved back to their original position??

Our whole team on offense seems to be really confused. Now we know why early in the season we went with anybody BUT Lewis. Wilson wanted the snap and Lewis must have forgot the count and never hiked the ball. Now Lewis has low snapped twice to Ryan.

OK, the LOB is not getting beat. We make another defensive stop.

Our offense needs to get going.

So glad we get the ball first after the half

So glad we are a 2nd. half team

all right - as lousy as things have been for the offense so far ( along with one big error play on a punt) the score is only 3-0.

Lets see a scoring drive before the half.

The problem is that we haven't run enough plays to get away from the scripted plays. Our offense always perks up after we no longer are running Bevel's scripted plays.

I like that idea about running the hurry up. Right now, we seem to be afraid to even run a play. We are playing not to lose, and we know what happens to a team that plays that way, they lose.

Disappointing performance by the offense in the first half.

Bulleave it or not I actually have seen signs that we are going to bust out offensively.

I cannot believe that the Vikes would waste an entire minute. That shows me that they know they can't move the ball. We will win if we don't give them a short field again.

I agree SH4F,
We are going to have to get a play on defense or special teams. PC is usually pretty good at half time adjustments. You guys who want this game in Minnyland instead of with the Skins should be shot and put out in the snow.

Need to run more option plays as it seems obvious that the Vikings are not respecting the straight up run game.

Play action and short dump passes are the only chance they have to win.

Some terrible play calling on second and third down.

Rusell should have audible on 2nd down 2 yards with the vikings bringing 9 people to the Line. Send someone to the end zone in that situation.

That Viking Kicker is pounding the ball in this cold weather.

Wonder if the Vikings are using different techniques with the ball than what the seahawks are doing?
