Hass officially retires. Good luck to him and thanks for all the memories! "We'll take the ball and we're going to score" is still one of my favorite moments ever, despite the outcome.

Hear hear. Looking forward to seeing him as an analyst- hard to imagine he won't be more entertaining than most.

Too bad he didn't re-sign here for a day to officially retire a Seahawk ...

That would be cool. And if he didn't officially file his papers he still could. I think I've seen it done that way before.

Nothing special about Hass, fairly mobile in the pocket, average arm, please tell me he wont be in the ROH?

As he should be. Most successful QB in franchise history to date ( though he won't be in about 5-7 years). Guy was a "second" tier QB his entire career in Seattle ( top ten, occasionally top five in the NFL, and number 1 IMHO when being interviewed, or talking off the field) hats off to you Mr. Hasselbeck...

You're selling him a little short, he was top 5 at least 3 years.

Didn't mean to. Just didn't put a number on it. Used occasionally instead...

Hass was good enough to win a SB, I still think that IF Hamlin hadn't screwed up, he would have one. No way Parker makes long runs up the middle on Kenny Hamlin, but I could be wrong.
No doubt he belongs in the ROH!

Um Hamlin wasn't the starting safety for the majority of that season ( I think week four was the "stopsign" incident) the starting safety that year was Marquand Manuel ( IMO a better more disciplined safety) and no, that run doesn't happen with him on the field.

That long TD run also doesn't happen if our DE isn't getting bear-hugged as Parker goes by (iirc- it's been a long, long time since I watched the game).

Manuel was a load, a fierce tackler, maybe an upgrade over Hamlin but his injury made a huge difference as Seattle had shut out Pittsburgh prior to him being injured. If Hamlin had been available maybe things would have been different on a couple of plays. Refs jacked the game away from Hass and the Hawks more than any other factor.

Hass was a 1-B QB. He never threw for 4000 yards in a season in spite of playing in the pure WCO. He only had a QB rating over 90 in 2 seasons, 2005 and 2007.His arm was limited. But he was a gritty competitor, tough and fiery and a hilarious interview off the field. He's the second best QB in franchise history edging out David Krieg.

Congrats buddy and I look forward to seeing him on Sundays much more than the CTE dufus Ditka who foolishly jumped in the dumpster with the Donald Trumpster. Good riddance!!!!

RW, get real folks we never saw anything like him in Seattle. He is unquestionably the best QB every to play here.

Yeah I read that! Cool huh? Now all we need is for the team to extend the invitation.

One of my all time favorite Hawks. Solid QB, great teammate, engaging personality. We haven't seen the last of him as I'm sure he'll be a color guy for one of the networks.

RD he's replacing Mike Ditka following Ditkas controversial comments about Trump and Obama. He will be a riot. I may have to get NFL ticket to watch the games he calls.

Thanks for the update, HT. I've been out of the country for awhile and haven't been following NFL news.

Not mine but, that doesn't mean I was right on him. Just ask Human! He was fairly agile in the pocket, and good enough to get us to the SB.
However, the thought of that OL with RW just gives me the willies!!!

Good ol' Mike just keeps speaking his mind, lol.

Overall, I've enjoyed Ditka, but it's time for him to take a back seat to some new, refreshing blood, that is Hass.

No brainer for espn to make this move.
