First Date of 2016

Postby Rambo2014 » Mon May 16, 2016 9:31 am

LOL Looks like we play the Hawks on Sept 18th as a home opener in the Coliseum in LA! Should be great with PC returning as the enemy to his old stomping grounds. I plan to visit from St Louis with a posse of pals. May have to move back to LA to follow my team as that where I grew up.

As far as the game I expect the usual hard hitting event but our new QB will shine and Seahawks will wilt in the hot sun like they did in SD a couple seasons back.

There hasn't been a blowout in the series for some time, thus your prediction holds no water! A close game yeah!!! I can see it 13-13 headed in Q-4 and then Hawks fade in the 100 degree heat. Final Rams 16, Sea 13. I am hearing Fisher is jazzzed over the move and players are responding.

Ahh, Ramblow. Long time no see. We've missed you.

But as far as your "posse of pals from St. Louis" goes, give it up. You've been jilted twice in the past 28 years. The league doesn't want your town. Try watching the "World Series of Poker" once the Cards are eliminated from contention.

With the Rams D you better say 10-9 Hawks!

I don't know how many we'll score with our o-line, but if Goff's able to put up 9 points in his second professional start against us, I'll be flabbergasted.

I wouldn't be flabbergasted if anyone scored 3 FG's against us since we averaged a league best 17 PPG last season. 10-9 is a very reasoned prediction.

I'm just being a little flippant- I know how easily an NFL team can get into FG range these days. I'd just be surprised if any of those points come from a sustained drive (vs a good KO return + a first down or two, etc).

It's going to be a monumental challenge for Goff, going up against the league's best defense in his first ever NFL home game...the CW being that home games are tougher for rookie QB's than away games. Plus factor in how well we've played against the Rams lately and it adds up that neither team is likely to put up many points on the board. I'll take a win any way we can get one.

About how I see it too, but Russ will pull it out. You can't pretend that late season run last year never happened. It was a step forward for him, he's a better QB than he was 2 years ago.

Thats what I'm banking on Bob. Not only was Wilson trending stratospheric last year but his receiving corps survived basically intact through FA. I think the 2016 Hawks are poised for a special season and they owe the Rams a good beating.

I agree with Cbob and HT. IMO Russell learned a lot last year. I just hope to hell that they can put together a functional OL.

Russell Wilson's work habits are the absolute last thing I'm going to worry about.

You guys haven't made the playoffs in how long and we're the ones being funny? You need to wait until you at least break .500 before you start with the trash talk.

Kellen Clemens, put up 9 points, Goff should be able to put up that much.

There could be many Hawk fans at this game given the location and number of seats available. Also there might be a large contingent of PC supporters from USC at the game.

As far as the availability of tickets to this game, they are going to be very hard to come by. Not only are the Seahawks a good draw and as you noted, a number of Hawks fans/Pete Carroll fans are likely to be in attendance, but this is their home opener, marking the NFL's return to LA. There aren't going to be many seats available and those that are will be very expensive.

Wow you folks are nervous huh? Can see why trying to keep a fading team together late in its cycle! The worst part for you fellas in week 2 will be the health issues you will incur early in the year against a nasty D line and in the heat.

The guy whose team just sold the farm for a draft pick tells me my team is "fading"? Great- now hit us all where it hurts and call the Hawks "desperate" while you're at it.

That's good. Isn't like you or other Ram fans will be watching your team compete in a SB any time soon, so it's nice you get to watch teams like Seattle do so first hand.

As for the "Sonics" I'm really not sure what you are talking about, that team doesn't exist and hasn't since the NBA and Bennett pulled a fast one and stole them. Most are happy when the franchise formerly known as the Sonics lose.

Yep, go warriors! I don't hate people but clay Bennett comes close on my list. I don't want that mans franchise to ever win a championship!

Those arent the Sonics. They are the deserters. The only thing better than watching them gag away the series would have been for Clay Bennett to die of herpes 10. F them. Go Warriors!!!!
