Will Wilson's Ankle Be Targeted Sunday?

Not trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I think it's a legitimate question, especially with Bountygate Williams at the helm. One dirty play and our season could dramatically change. I hope the the Hawks and Wilson will be extra vigilant this Sunday.

When the huddle breaks, the last thing players are thinking about is targeting a certain player. The game is so intense that you have to concentrate all your mental powers on the task at hand. But if a situation occurs during the play, and particularly after your participation in the play is for all intents and purposes is over and your thought is to either pull up or continue to roll over on an ankle you know is in your way, then many players will choose the latter.

I don't care what RW says Suh stepped on his ankle on purpose.
Now opposing defenses know it is open season on Wilson's ankle.

It may not be the first thing they're thinking about, but I guarantee you it ain't the last.

With some players, yes, I agree. IMO most players play clean. But all it takes is one like Suh and it could end a career.

Yup! Of course they will. As would our D if the opposing QB were lame. I'm not saying our D would purposely injure anyone, but they'd be aware and they'd bring the heat... As well they should.
Now if the question is will Williams D try to further hurt/take out RW (and I believe that is your question), I'd say yeah, probably to that too. Williams is an ass as is Fisher.... They'd do anything to be a leg up.

No that's dirty FB targeting his ankle just because its hurt. Your saying you cant beat us straight up at that point. I dont think Fisher does that.

Fisher would only have so much control. How the players treat other players on the field goes further down the coaching Tree and onto specific players on the team. Cincinnati against Pittsburgh... they have dirty players and that's the game when they play.
Now, in our case, the Rams have the same coaches and most of the players from last years Rams. I don't remember this conversation or any talk of them being "dirty" after the games. Were they?
The issue is we couldn't stop their DLineman and Linebackers rushing and if they get after us at that level, a healthy Russell or a 'hurt' Russell. It doesn't matter.
