In a very nice way too - O line blasting a hole and CM jets through it for the 6 points.

We are looking really good, despite the penalties. The FS on JG was BOGUS, he was drawn off.

Why don't you like Boykin?
I'm with Sis thinking Russ' knee might be a bigger problem than it seems ... we might need young Boykin for a while.

Yup- they must have found some instability in there or I don't see why they'd throw a non-custom knee brace on him.
Potentially, and kinda likely, very, very bad news. The wages of scrimping on the o-line.

I wondered how long it would be before someone tried to pin Wilson's knee on the line. LMAO. The line isn't responsible for blocking the MLB near the sideline when the QB decides to run.... What's next? Blame them for a receiver 45 yards down the field injured by a horsecollar? Blame them for a LB blowing out his knee celebrating? Torn hamstrings on kickoffs?

Offensive Line played fine - don't know if its from improvement or from the level of competition faced this week - probably some of both.
O line had zero cause of Russell's injury - I started wincing when I noted that Russell was going to try to run around that Linebacker instead of throwing the ball away. Bad judgement on Russell's part to put himself in that position to take that kind of hit in his condition now.

The line was better for sure the likely result of reduced comp level, one more week to gel, c-Mike, a healthier RW (until....

) and getting coached up. It was an illegal drop that caused the injury.

Eh, it's fair to say this isn't on the o-line (and I thought the same thing after posting that). I just have a hard time ignoring the coincidence.

I think that's what happens when he doesn't have his normal burst of speed to get to the sideline.
The OL played with a lot more urgency and the Offense as a whole seemed to have more rhythm and a higher tempo to it.
There were also some great catches by Receivers, too.

I just got home and started watching the game. I'm sure I was seeing things, but the first QTR ++... Sowell and Glowinski opened holes like I haven't seen since Big Walt and Hutch... CMike blew threw at least 4 times. to nice holes right threw left guard and tackle. Awesome. JMHO: CMike is going to win the starting job... my feeling he's on a level we've never seen before from him and he seems to be getting better.

Good win - back on track a lil after dominating a team that we're supposed to.
Early momentum/points, never gave SF a chance to even flirt with the idea of an upset.
Took care of business early and often, and now it's on to NY and let's win there.

Cards completely underestimated the Bills, which is strange since it was a road game, which usually sharpens a veteran team like AZ.
Minny playing well under circumstances, but this is still a bad loss for Panthers. Carolina and Cam were all smiles last year, but I felt they were a prime candidate to fall into the SB loss curse before this season began.
If Rivera's team falls in Atlanta next week, watch out. The wheels could really come off fast with that group. Newton is still more than capable of checking out mentally, just as he did when he didn't go all out on the fumble that sealed his team's fate in February.

NY is a loss. Most of marked it as a loss. So it will come down to the Falcons and the Cards that will define our season.

First of all. Other teams do not define a teams season, secondly, even IF Seattle loses the worst they could be would be tied with Arizona and trailing the Rams by a game in week 4 of the season....
There's no way a season is defined in any way a quarter in to it...

NYJ will be tough sledding, but with Fitzpatrick being inconsistent, I won't call it a loss. Not sure why you are saying the Falcons; I'm guessing you mean the Rams, which I would agree with. Need to split with the Rams and sweep the Cards and 49ers.
It my be petty, but I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, Zorn76. I don't think Cam has the gravel in his guts and the spit in his eye to overcome a string of losses. If the wheels come off before Dec. 4, I'll be a little disappointed. I want the Seahawks to beat them at their best so they know what's up.

My impressions of the game w/o watching the replay and having watched it from a high vantage point:
Who ever said that Russell can't throw a long ball or become a good pocket passing quarterback needs to take a look at some of those throws he made yesterday. That long pass to Baldwin was perfectly thrown, as were a number of his medium to long distance throws. But to be fair, he got away with a couple of bad throws/bad decisions.
Jimmy Graham FINALLY came up with a big game, fighting two db's for a jump ball and scoring a red zone TD. Now if he can just learn how to block.
OL performed reasonably well, but Russell getting hurt for the 2nd time in 3 games, both due to having to escape a pass rush, bears out why some of us in here have been complaining for years about Pete's indifference regarding the OL. The more times he's forced to escape a pass rush, the higher his odds of suffering a career threatening injury. Then we'd be back to picking chit with the chickens.
Nice game by Doug Baldwin. Defense finally got a turnover. Michael is now our #1 back and Rawls will have a tough time breaking back into the lineup.
Fantastic day, great crowd. Not many Niner fans. I got to see a fight between a couple of Niners fans and a couple of Hawks. Not sure which was the aggressor, but it takes two to tango.

This game, with the Jets DL will be a better test of whether our OL has improved.
They have something to prove to themselves after yesterday's win, but our Defense should be able to stop their Offense for the most part.

Yup- ~60 yards in the air and hit Baldwin in stride.

Honestly, the ONLY legitimate rap on Russell is his height, and he's already proven that he can mitigate that disadvantage to where it's a no-never mind, at least at this stage of his career.

Russ and Baldwin are poetry in motion.
The throw to Graham was equally fantastic. Russ saw the flag for offsides and threw it up as a free ball for Graham to come down with. Which he did.
The Graham bashers are going to get their lips zipped up big time this season. Couple that with a definitely non pedestrian receiving corps and Wilson better than ever from the pocket.
And now an explosive herschel walker type back materializes out of thin air just in the nick of time.
It might be scary.
