Seahawks at cardinals game predictions

Postby Jjones84 » Thu Oct 20, 2016 6:46 am

I just read an article saying this will be the first week the hawks are an underdog (2pts.) this season. It also was talking about how palmer left their last game with an apparent hamstring injury. Palmer said it ended up being cramps and he will be fine. I am not buying it though. He also sat out practice yesterday for "rest." I would imagine rest comes later in the week, and you wouldn't miss the first practice of the week. The first two days of their week is usually installing the game plan, kind of important. So he may be limited.

I think a lot of the media will expect a low scoring, defensive game. I dont, these two light it up against eachother in arizona. I am going to say 28-21 hawks.

27-14 Hawks. I think the Defense is going to stop the pass, and Zona likes throwing the ball, not sure why with their RB.

I hate calling scores as I'm almost always way off the mark, but as OJ once said, I'll take a stab at it:

Seahawks 20, Cards 10.

^^^^ 3rd prediction in a row where Seattle doesn't score a TD and lose by double digits ( 24 -12, 24-12, 23-12).... Can he really be this stupid? Seattle hasn't lost by more than 10 points in 78 straight games ( NFL record) and yet he continues to just regurgitate that same mantra.

Maybe he's paying homage to the "12"'s?

I'll take it further. Seattle 41 Arizona 10..

Seahawks, 27-24.

If you're Palmer, you refuse not to play in this game. He'll set aside his cramps and gut it out, but it won't be enough.
CM should have a good day rushing, since our passing game now helps create lanes to run through. Defense will be themselves, minus the blown coverages, and do their thing.

Having Kam and Frank back...Huge. Along with Bennett & Jefferson.

Sunday NIght...we always do well, and I expect that to continue.

Hawks 28 Cards 26 - or some such white knuckle affair. I think we will win. I hope Frank and Kam are a go.

Oops, lol.

Well, Frank it is. it's going to be a better situation than a week ago, and we still did a solid job. Kelce, no doubt, has had miscommunication erased from his game by now:) We'll be ok.

I'm not sure that we will be fine with Kam out. Pete said that Kam is the leader of the D and communicates to his peers when he was asked about what happened in the 3rd Q melt-down against the Falcons. We had the benefit of home turf and the 12s really bringing it in the 4th. I am not saying that we will lose; I'm saying I'm concerned.

Kelcie's had the benefit of working with the 1s all week this time- hopefully that makes a difference. He's been very solid in the past, and outside of those two breakdowns was solid last week (and yeah, I know those were two BIG breakdowns, but still...).

Prime time start really helps us. Somethin' about it that sees us play well, usually.

Az is rebounding, but this is not a better team than they were a year ago. We'll see how Palmer does. He ain't shy about slingin' it around, but we should be able to put some good pressure on him anyway. Their run game has some numbers here and there, but has not been clutch.

For the Seahawks, I think the key to this game is #88. If Jimmy can play like last the last 3 games, we'll win by 10. Even as a decoy, he opens up a lot of room for our wideouts. Without him I think the game will be close as our offense may sputter. Much closer game. TE: We'd be down to a 3rd stringer or a Rookie.

On the other side, our D-Front 4 rush against a hobbled Palmer could also be the tipping factor. If Mr. Avril comes out like last week and Frank is back at 100%, we could make Palmer's life real miserable. An effective 4 man rush allows our LB's to track the AZ running backs. If we get 4 sacks + and we win by 10+.
Az holds up against our pass rush and the games much closer.

I'm also not buying the "cramps" thing. Carson has 5 int's to 7 td's this year, he looks old and is playing like it. The Hawks D was embarrassed last week at home and they will be looking to get right on Sunday in prime time. Two picks and 1 D touchdown.

33 - 10 Hawks

Go Hawks!

It will be interesting to see if Russell plays any differently in this game, ie runs the ball more often, than he did last weekend.

With the Rams losing today, a win here and we can open up a large, 3 game lead in the division. Although it's too early to be calling it a 'must' win game, it's more important to the Cards than it is for us.
