Official Seahawks vs Eagles GAME Thread

The return of Rawls should mean more pounding of the rock against a good Eagles Front. Let's see how the hawks respond to an emotional victory from the prior week. Go Hawks.

Thanks Sis - I actually think the easier call was being against the moving back of the extra point - this has really caused us problems.

Great win.

I thought this one might be a bit closer, but it was nice and steady the entire game.

Hauschka is still in his head a bit, but he'll work through it.

Rawls - welcome back.

D - played Wentzrook well.

Offense had enough of it going, and some nice consistent returns from Lockette.

Prosise out for extended time( he *might* make it back this season).... Sure would be nice to have an available productive running back that knew the offense behind Rawls. Boykin didn't seem to be the answer.

Tromayne Pope high ankle sprain, what's that? 4-6 week recovery time?

Currently, Rawls and Dance Dance Fumble..... Not exactly a frightening running back room.

Unfortunately, Prosise isn't going to be playing for quite some time. Better start praying that Rawls stays healthy for longer than he ever has before in his professional career. Pray hard, pray often, pray long.

No kidding. The dark side of being an NFL fan Human, injuries!! Just when we were 2 weeks away from being totally healthy we lose 3 guys in one game.

I missed the game, but getting ready to watch. Scared to see what happens to Prosise! Sounds like it's time to see what JS and PC see in Collins. Rawls and Collins down the stretch.

Any update on Earl??

Time to start reckoning with the fact that Prosise isn't likely to ever be on the field.

Mercuric ability but made of glass.

Damnit.

Here's a perfect example of what's wrong with NFL officiating:

They punt from their 26 or so, and the punt lands about 5 yards out of bounds at roughly our 33. Two questions: (1) Where does anyone with an 8th-grade education spot the ball, and (2), where did our NFL official spot it?

Answer to the former: between our 35 and 40.

Answer to the latter: our 30.

How the fck do you get that so wrong at a level that any kid that passed middle-school geometry can see??

It didn't cost anyone anything, but it's just an indication that they're in completely over their heads.

Hopefully Rawls shakes that glass thing quick... If he goes down ( as he has done repeatedly in his first two seasons) it could be a serious. Serious, SERIOUS problem.

Edit: as for the officials, the false start on the Eagles first scoring drive was one of the most egregious missed calls I've ever seen. Guard was blocking the LB before the ball was snapped ( somehow worse than the egregious missed false start during the Bills game that people in the opposite endzone were able to see)....

I wonder if the former UW back Polk, would be a decent fill in for a bit? We need to add a couple backs now and adding a tough runner like him couldn't hurt
It will be interesting to see how this plays out now because the offense is better when we have a RB with Prosise's skill set but I don't see anyone with his skills available now. CJ Spiller is no longer available...
This Prosise injury really stinks.

I am with you Monk, I think betting anything but house money that Rawls wont get injured again is a B A D bet.
CP is probably done for good. CM or Polk might make good fillers for now, but we have to get a long term solution at RB. CM out of Stanford would be good IF we can get him that is a huge IF. I think next year we have to hit the reset button at the RB position. Good news Mike should be back at DE in a couple of weeks; RW looks healthy as a horse, and we have a 3 game lead in the division. Human has taught me to remain positive. Any word on ET, we CANNOT afford to lose him long term.

I couldn't believe that the refs missed that one. I've been adamantly opposed to reviewing penalties, but missed calls like that one are causing me to re-think my position. That wasn't just some obscure flinch or twitch, their left guard fired off the ball a half a count early an gave him a clear advantage on the defender.

Me, either. Honestly, I know it's a tired thing to say, but the officiating is *bafflingly* bad this year. Stuff that you watch them miss, like that false start, or call with no reasonable rationale to back it up, like ANOTHER OPI on Kearse where he didn't even touch the defender (iirc).

Has anyone else ever noticed (in all sports) that when teams cut or trade away a position of depth, injuries hit at that position and suddenly they are thin there?
It seems to happen with regularity.
