As they mounted that comeback last night, I was thinking the whole time even if they win it, it will be clouded by Lockett's injury. It's almost as if I didn't even care about the win anymore, I just felt so bad for the kid.
I am not usually like that, it is ALWAYS about the win. Maybe I'm getting old, maybe it's the Super Bowl win, but I seem to genuinely care more for these guys I don't even know more so than before. I guess I really appreciate what they do, how hard they work, how they lay their bodies on the line, and a lot of it is so we can be entertained. Just sad to see a season cut short.
Feel bad for Derek Carr as well, and for Raiders fans everywhere who finally got a long awaited playoff berth.
Big loss for the Hawks though, especially on special teams. He was a game breaker for sure who can't be replaced by anyone currently on the team on the same level.
Hoping for full recoveries for everyone (Mariota as well)!

He's scheduled for surgery today, my friend.
Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett suffered a broken right leg during Saturday's 34-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and is set to have surgery Sunday morning, a source told ESPN.

Must be pretty bad if they're operating on Christmas day, wouldn't you say?
Speaking of which, Merry Christmas, Cbob!
