Early Huddle Report 3 round mock

Postby c_hawkbob » Fri Feb 24, 2017 11:08 am

Holy cow I'd be ecstatic with this!

26 OL Garett Bolles Utah
58 CB Cordrea Tankersley Clemson
90 RB Wayne Gallman Clemson

Huddle Report is kind of my go to draft site. I know it's early but I'm surprised to see what I consider to be 3 first round talents as our picks! Fact is I think we're more likely to see all three of these guys done befor our first pick us wind up with all of them ... but It's fun to see from a site I respect.

There is so much talent in the first 3 or maybe 4 rounds this year that I think we can upgrade at positions of need as well as depth especially on Defense.
Love to get Bolles however improbable that seems to be.
A lot might depend on whether teams like the Panthers and Broncos stock their OLs with Free Agents.

You forgot to include the link.

Thanks for the heads up. It provides a good baseline.

We don't have a fourth round (trade last year) and we lost a fifth for practicing at practice. We will get compensatory picks for losing Bruce and Okung..... likely in the 3rd and 5th rounds.

I know it's futile looking at mocks at all, especially in February. But it SURE is fun. I trust we will play the draft game again this year - I'm ready to win again. ;)

We get 2 3rd round comp picks, Sis.
#102 and #106 which give us 5 picks in the first 3 rounds.
I'll give up a 5th for that considering they can also be traded this year.

Didn't actually forget the link, I didn't include it because I didn't know whether or not it was premium content (I pay the annual fee for it anyway) and I didn't wanna put up a link asking for money to view the content (like most Sando articles now). That's why I just c&p'd our picks.

I don't see a link showing how you get the premium content on THR. Everything just looks free to me.

Regarding their mock draft, it seems that there would be quite a debate about Tankersley considering the players they would forego.
A quick look down the list shows players like CB Rasul Douglas who is physically like Sherman and played well in the Sr. Bowl and OT Taylor Moton who could be the physical RT they like.
Others in the discussion might include DT's Montravious Adams and Dalvin Thomlinson along with Edge Rusher Tyus Bowser and maybe even RB Wayne Gallman.

It's what makes the Draft so interesting. Nobody knows what player may be available when your selection is up.

Huh, looks like it might all be free now ... (according to a google search earliest free reference is Jan of 16). Used to cost to see any of the player analysis or basically anything beyond their "Big Board". I just had the automatic renewal set up so I never noticed the change.

Milk is free if you have a cow. Evaluate priorities quarterly is ... sound advice.

It was like, $10 a year ... what's to evaluate quarterly?

Whenever I examine Mock Drafts, I like to look at the players that followed until the next pick as I often think players that are more like the Seahawks types are overlooked.
Bolles is a good pick, but I'm not sure Tankersley is value to us in the 2nd and the third with THR selecting Gallman and not Tyus Bowser is a topic for discussion.
Utlimately our FO might have them ranked in order as suggested by THR but we'll never know.

That's great news. I heard 3rd and a 5th from John Clayton. 5 picks in the first three rounds should help. Thank you for the info.

You're welcome.
It's going to be interesting to see how it all unfolds with the overall depth of the draft. Everything seems to be on the table including moving up or down with the tradeable compensatory picks.
