AP wants to be a Seahawk --

Postby jshawaii22 » Tue Mar 07, 2017 5:12 pm

Interesting.. In response to a question by NFL.com, AP was asked to name 3 teams he'd like to go to in Free Agency. The Seahawks and the Raiders were the only two choices. Hmmm. He hasn't had a good year (to his standards) in 3 or more.
He was due 18m -- what would he sign for? I can't see the Seahawks offering more than 3-4 m a year + incentives, if we're even interested.

I'd love to have AP on the team but I think we will pick up someone cheaper in the draft to pair with Rawls. We need other FA like Okung and Williams.

Okung? I think we can do better. Remember that we low balled him for a reason and then Denver let him go after 1 year. If he was any good, he'd be on Denver going forward.

Update Why Peterson Likes the Seahawks... and it's not our Offensive Line play.
Peterson averaged 1,446 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns with Bevell as his offensive coordinator, earning four Pro Bowl nods and two first-team All-Pro selections

And we drafted 'one of them type', too and that doesn't seem to effect any of the 'Hawks player moves, but I see your point.

My #1 reason for not liking the idea.

My #2 reason is that AP doesn't run out of the shotgun, so he'd be a terrible, terrible fit with the Hawks' offense.

Its like Golic was saying, no way he should come here, Seattle's OL is horrible. Makes no sense.
