Only one early East Coast Game... that's a nice deal. They start at 7am out here and that sucks. Actually, not a bad schedule and I sure like getting the GB game out of the way first.

I like the schedule.

Woulda loved to open at home, but it's a nice string of games to look forward to.
This should be a 12 or 13 win year, IMO.

Week 17 features all divisional games across the league, but the rest of December doesn't look a lot different than any of the other weeks, so they've gone away from the trend of trying to schedule mostly divisional games down the stretch. I'm wondering if that was by design or if it reflects the complexity of coming up with a suitable schedule. There's still a double header on the first Monday night of the season.

Our only early start is the Jags game while the rest of our west coast brethren have multiple east coast early games. Our Thursday night game, a short flight down to Phoenix, is bookended by two home games, and we get a long stretch of 10 games to prepare for the Falcons, arguably the toughest game on our schedule, and we get them at home for the 2nd straight year. Our two potential cold weather games, at Green Bay and at the Giants, fall in September and October. We have a long road trip to New York preceded by our bye week. The early handicap has our schedule rated as one of the weakest in the league.

I don't see a single thing in our schedule that would cause the Seahawk chapter of the Grassy Knoll Association to seek out Deep Throat.

On a personal note, after getting two doctor's opinions, the second of which I got from an experienced surgeon yesterday morning, I've decided to have a full knee replacement before the end of the calendar year. My wife thought it hilarious when I told her that I anxious to see what our Seahawks schedule looked like before scheduling my knee surgery so as not to interfere with attending any games. I fail to see the humor that she saw, rather I feel that I have my priorities in the right place.

I certainly wish they didn't have us in Dallas on Christmas eve. I live 3 hours away but I won't be travelling there during the holidays.

It will be interesting to see how both Dallas and Atlanta do this year.
The Super Bowl losers curse (adding in the devastating way to lose) and losing their OC might make them vulnerable this year.
And how will Dallas do when teams are expecting them to be good? A target on a teams back sometimes causes problems and with all of the adulation Prescott received, will he progress or have troubles without Romo as a sounding board?

Seems perfectly normal to be, good on ya!

Knee replacement is a good option compared to the alternatives, good luck.

I had knee replacement surgery during the summer of 07. I scheduled it during the summer, & was hitting the slopes that winter. Best of luck RD. Be sure to attack your rehab like a rookie getting a free agent contract.

This might be the best schedule I've seen for the Hawks in a long, long time. One AM game? And it's at JAX?! And no back-to-back road games all season? And 1/4 of the games in prime time? And extra time to prepare for ATL?

Very, very little to complain about.

Thanks for the well wishes regarding my knee surgery, guys. Actually there's more than the football season that factors into when to have it. I was planning on retiring in mid December anyway, so I'm going to schedule my surgery to occur while I'm still employed, go on FMLA for 12 weeks, then retire once I've milked it dry. It will save me a boat load of money by not having to pay for insurance for both me and my wife plus I'll still be drawing my salary. My wife had shoulder surgery earlier this year so by having my surgery before the end of the year with our deductible already met, I can have replace my knee virtually for free.

Good luck with your surgery, RD.
It sounds like you're working the system like the top 1% but it saves a lot of money that you could otherwise use and may need to live on when retired.

I'm a bit surprised by Sheil Kapadia's 10-6 prediction for Seattle, and completely disagree that AZ rebounds to win 10 this fall.
Rams 8-8? Forget it. 4 wins
SF winning 6 would be a good yr for them, but I still see them at 5 or less. No QB.

I'm not even sure Rambo would predict 8-8 for the Rams. The Niners roster is bare bones. It's going to take Shanny a couple years to rebuild.

I'm still on the fence as far as our Hawks chances are concerned. 10-6 doesn't sound absurd given the past two seasons.
