Will Sherman be traded during this draft? I hope not. I read some Bozo sports writer is claiming Richard wants to play in N.E. for the Hoodie. Some how I just don't see Sherm having the same freedom of expression that he has enjoyed playing for Pete that he would have playing for "My way or the highway Bill Belicheat.

Bears move up in the draft to throw away a pick on Tribinsky who started only 13 games in college going 8-5. Can we say BUST!

Frisco takes DE Solomon Thomas out of Stanford. Wilson will have his work cut out for him dealing with this guy.

I think the Browns GM should be fired, a guy like Watson on the board, and they trade out of him, I think they will regret that move.

Boy, the OLineman just aren't the top of the draft this year.

Cam Robinson or Forrest Lamp? -- either would be as good as we could expect this year.

Tomorrow will be fun - 5 pics, unless we trade down again!

ESPN crawl shows up trading down with SF again and out of the first round -- Now the 2nd pick of the 2nd round and we still get the OLine pick we really need or just maybe they're going local with Budda Baker at Kam's replacement?

I dont like it, I guess IF we get Lamp or Robinson, we will be ok, but I dont like trading picks with the 9ers.

They use the pick to take Foster, the best MLB on the board, to go with Thomas. Running on them just got a whole lot tougher, thanks to us!

Why do I think that we will acquire a 5th. rounder tomorrow or the next day. Rounds 3-5 have been Schneider's best in prior drafts. We need team depth and help on the O-line and it appears we are right where we need to be.

The brain trust must not like any of the o-lineman available early or perhaps they plan on turning a 120 lb soccer player into the next left tackle or at worst a guard. Wilson will be lucky to make it to 30 with all of cables projects protecting him. They better draft another backup QB, will need to be at least 3 deep at that position and I hope Paul will spring for a few extra gurneys they made need to scrape the QB's off the field. Been pushing their luck with keeping Wilson on the field and sooner or later that luck will run out.Wasted a whole damm night watching the 1st round and in the end got exactly what I expected. Maybe tomorrow we can do a couple of trades to help out the Rams and Cardinals. My opinion is that the Hawks are a pretty sound team. Why do they need to accumulate 10+ picks every year and then end up releasing 1/2 those picks so other teams can pick them up when released. Stick around 7 picks a year and hopefully get a little better quality.
In the end, who am I to complain? After all the brain trust has given hawk fans the best run in the history of the team. Just get a little tired of having to pray my ass off so Wilson won't get killed. The knees aren't what they used to be

I saw most of it like that first trade down with Atlanta. I expected it to happen just like it did they always trade the first pick away but the second I both surprised and pleased me.

Cam Robinson and Kevin King are still there Wow that's luck or genius, JS and PC have to be the best team in the whole draft.

There is no flicking way we don't pick up Cam Robinson or Forrest Lamp tomorrow. Hell even Kevin King would make the whole draft a good one. My favorite is Cam Robinson and I am praying that he is the one. We can't ignore the LT position any more.

Pope is right Russell Wilson must have a great OL opening day or we will be horrible all along the line again. Jokel is a very good start but we need, Cam Robinson or Forrest Lamp tomorrow.

Wow we are going to get a CB and DL help and we have to do better than that skinny runt, criminal Boykin. We need someone to push Wilson. We can have Chad Kelly in the 6th or 7th round . He'll be a good backup and maybe the QOTF .

I hope we go BPA and still fill our needs. We have a great team and this draft is going to get us some starters. Just a question of how many first string players from this draft.

Go Seahawks ,12th man come alive

2017 best draft for Seahawks ever done. I amet

The 2nd trade back was definitely a good one obviously because their player is still there.

They had better use BOTH of those 2nds and with 4 3rd's I would assume they may package some together to garner another 2nd.

If you watch Robinsons tape he has extremely SLOW side to side movement. He will get eaten alive at the next level. The next best OL is Lamp and he is a guard. You simply don't draft OL for the sake of needing bodies. Our OL is young and will improve. The defense is getting old and needs re-stocked. We have the ammo to do just that.

There are still plenty of good options remaining. If they want a dynamic defensive lineman, they can do it with Williams, Willis, McDowell, Walker or Wormley. If they want to go DB, there’s Melifonwu, Awuzie, Wilson, Lewis, Baker and others. If they want to go O-line they can take Lamp or Robinson. There are good receivers and running backs on the board.

Plus there’s every chance they’ll trade up from #58 to pick twice in the top-50 —

That's a good point Largent; if they see the value in the OL, then so be it, but I don't see the benefit in reaching. Grab the talent that is worth the draft slot.

When it was all said and done, we moved down 8 slots and got 3 more picks. If this were just a poker game with numbers instead of real players, yesterday would have been a huge haul.

It is apparent that we did not have one or two players that we were targeting at the bottom of the first. There's two OT's that are rated highly as well as several defensive backs, including the two guys from UW, that are still on the board. And Obi, I wouldn't be too worried about giving the Niners what they wanted, at least not in the short term. They still don't have a quarterback, so don't expect them to be relevant for at least several more years.

We're not done trading picks, either. Even though we acquired 3 more picks, they didn't address the big gap we had at the end of the 3rd and end of the 6th except to shrink it a tiny bit and add another log to the jam. No way we hold onto 4 picks from between #90 and #111. My guess is that we use one of those picks to move up in the late 2nd and one to get into the late 4th or 5th rounds.

One thing that we did find out for sure yesterday is that we won't be trading Richard Sherman for a 2017 first round pick. If Sherman does come back, it's going to be almost as big of a story as if he had been traded as it's going to be a bit of a shotgun marriage as both parties clearly want a divorce.

Even though yesterday was a bit frustrating as we didn't get to celebrate any new Hawk players, there was some drama to it, which attests to just how boring offseasons can be.

Oh I agree River, but they are slowly becoming the Rams, and how has that worked out for us without an OL. Pope and PFB are spot on, this is not a draft that is heavy with OL. Lamp is, in most opinions, the one plug and play guy. I will be holding my breath tonight, trust me.

Taylor Moton is another guy they might see as a good fit. He's a big nasty RT that the FO has been looking for since they let Breno walk. Like I said in another post, they've drafted Carpenter and Britt as well as signed Webb all to no avail, so maybe instead of drafting a LT to move to RT, they are going to draft a pure RT.
As far as Lamp goes, he may be the best technician in the draft, but the Packers pick 1st and they let 2 OL go this year so they will probably select him.
Is it worth selecting a Guard? Yes, if you think he can play at a high level right away. We drafted Hutch in the first round, so if Lamp is nearly as good, why not. As well, he could try out at LT and if he's one of those guys who plays better than his measureables we may have a good LT. Besides, he's a Cable type of guy who is also real physical and can play any position along the OL which is very important if they don't re-sign Britt.

YES.....Moton will be available later and is just as good as the 2 remaining OL that are worth a crap.

Lamp is a guard. How many guards do we want? Odhiambo was taken in the 3rd last year, Glow will benefit from a year in the trenches but 39 sacks came off the EDGE last year out of 48 allowed !!!!!!!!!!!!

And Robinson looks like he has lead in his shoes. All the other teams in our division are upgrading defense Arizona took Reddick, SF Foster, you get the picture that we are kinda in a place where we need to look at guys like Moton.

Also, if we trade the 2 comp picks in the 3rd the draft capital would be another 2nd.

We could potentially get Kevin King and Obi.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be cloud 9 territory for me.

Yea, I sure the hell hope we don't take Robinson. Do you remember the last offensive tackle out of Alabama that we took in the draft?

I want to upgrade the OL as badly if not worse than anyone else, but the reality is that there isn't very many quality OT's out there. It used to be that we saw 3 or 4 go in the top 10-15 of the draft. This year, the highest OL taken was Bolles at #20.

But Lamp is more than just a Guard if you believe what people and scouts are saying. He can play all along the OL at a high level. So if we ditch Aboushi and get Lamp, we will have upgraded our OL simply from a versatility perspective not to mention he played at a high level at LT against top competition and has the power to play RT in a pinch.

Nightmare scenario for me is them dropping back even farther and taking OLineman Joey Dumbo from Mississippi Valley state Technical school. Of course no one else has heard of him. Sorry, their record on that sucks. DB's is fine, but OLineman reaches, their record for those reaches just sucks.

Going on the cheap will not cut it in this league
