Griffin is tearing it up in training camp. He is intercepting the ball and deflecting it just tearing it up in training camp. While Jeremy Lane is on the sidelines with an injury. Lane will be playing soon though and if Griffin can't prove himself with the coaches he won't start. Time will tell but right now Griffin has the nod.

If not by the end of training camp I think Shaq will be starting before the season's done.

Practice is one thing. Games are another.

He has a lot of abilities, but there aren't too many rookies that come in and make big impacts in the secondary right away.

Not picking a side but the 710 guys seem to indicate that Lane was looking very good before he went out.

Lane is said to have a "soft tissue injury" and won't play against the Chargers. We'll see how well Griffin plays then, but it does sound like he's got a lot of tools and potential.

Shaquill Griffin did well against the Chargers. Just like an old veteran player. I think that the job is his for the taking.

Lane did great when he was in. I think he knows that his job is in jeopardy.

I'm glad that Griffin looks to be the starter. At minimum, he has a shot at contributing right away. Mixing in some new blood needs to happen anyway.
