This week Riv's still substantial leads are shrinking a bit further ... straight up he is now 4 games up on ObS and in confidence points he's up 25 points over me.

Over in the Survival league Riv gets his second strike leaving ObS and Zorn as the lone contestants with one strike each.

I'm heading to Vegas next weekend, so you know that my good luck is about to run out. :D

Actually I have more interest in the pick'em league than I do in my fantasy football team. Unlike FF, this league keeps me interested in the outcome of every game. I appreciate Cbob not only for the updates, but for organizing it as well.

This week Riv's leads are down to 2 games over ObS straight up and 17 points over me in the confidence points.

No change in the survival league, still ObS and Zorn hanging on with one strike.

I'm sorry guys. I got swamped and forgot to make picks a few weeks ago; once that happened.... I was out. I'm disappointed and wish you all the very best.

Yeah... I’m all good. Difficult stretch w/ work and some other strange things, but I sense it’s that way for most of us these days. Health is good. All is well. Thank you

After a disastrous week for me (only four right?! ... but I did pick a lot of upsets) and a good one for ObS the straight up cometition is now tied between he and Riv at 85-47 with myself and Zorn 8 and 9 games behind respectively.

No change in the Survival league with ObS and Zorn still in it with a strike each.

Breaking News: I get cute and go with the Bears at home vs GB, and it cost me.

Congrats to OBS for winning Survival Pool. I know we were all, just...in total suspense the whole time:)
Well done, bro!

Yep, me, too, but I had my reasons: The Packers were coming off a short week after being pushed around pretty good at home vs. the Lions, and of course, no Aaron Rodgers. It would have been a really good rebound for me had I not made that mistake.

This week had some pretty easy pickings, but next week looks a lot like my face plant two weeks ago.

Congrats ObS on being our Survival league champion! The Bears let Zorn down last week giving his his second strike and the Old Slow one as champ!

Obs is also 1 game behind Riv's 97-49 pace in the Pic'm, with Zorn and I just about out of the the picture at 10 and 9 games back respectively.

Since ObS and I are the only ones that made a selection in last night's game, I assume that it's just me and him. It's only Week 11, there's still a lot of football left, 96 games minus however many byes remain.

I did the same thing on the first weekend. I thought it would penalize you by giving you a loss if you don't make a selection, but it doesn't.

I've been waiting for two weeks for Cbob to give us his update, and not seeing any activity I guess I'd better pick up where he left off.

River Dog still leads the pack in both W/L record and confidence points, and has done so since Week 1. But Old but Slow is hot on his heals at just two games back with 4 weeks and the playoffs left. The Dog has a comfortable 22 point lead in total points.

Chawkbob and Zorn76 are still in the game but on life support as both are full 10 games behind the pace setting Dog.

I still need to do some work on my presentation. Not enough superlatives.

Thanks for bumping the thread, RD.
It's been a stranger year.

I'm getting absolutely Crushed in my fantasy league this season (standard league, which I've come to learn is boring as s***, lol).

The bright spot for me (right now, anyway), is that I've been been killing it in a good way on my 6 pt teaser cards the last 2 weeks (which means in this case I get to 'apply' 6 pts to whichever side I choose, be it lowering the spread on the favorite, or adding 6 pts to the underdog).

$600 winner in week 13, $330 winner a couple days ago(net gain overall for 2017 is +870). Long shot bets are almost always a losing proposition, so I'm grateful to be lucky.

Well with 2 week to go it's a two horse race with Riv still seting the pace in both the straight up competition; 150-74, 3 ahead of ObS, and confidence points with 1302 points, 22 up on ObS.

I sure had a face plant last week. One more week like that one and you two will trample me!

At the risk of sounding as if I'm gloating or trash talking, one of my advantages this season has been my ability to correctly predict the outcome of our own Hawks contests. I failed to predict two of our 8 wins (Rams in LA, Philly) and only missed predicting one of our 6 losses (vs. the Redskins), giving me an 11-3 record in Seahawk games.

It would be interesting to factor out Seahawk games and see what the standings would look like.

Well this is it, last week of the season and Riv holds narrow leads in both pools over ObS: 1416-1404 in confidence points and 164 to 161 correct straight up.

Good luck to both of you!

Regular season wrap up (it's a 2 man race now):

Straight Up

Riv = 174-82
ObS = 170-86

Confidence Points

Riv = 1504
ObS = 1476

Good luck you two!

With three games left the straight up competition is effectively over as Riv (178-86) has a 4 game lead on ObS (174-190) but there is still a chance that Rive gets caught in the confidence points (1540 to 1520) so we'll hold off on handing out final standings until it's all settled.

Good Luck you two!

LOL :lol: Fun contest, ObS!

But dirty tricks? More like a good, logical strategy when you're behind with very few games left. I would have done the same thing.

I saw how you went with the underdog in the playoffs under the assumption that I'd be picking the favorites, and it would have worked had it not been for the Miracle in Minneapolis and the gift the Patriots received vs. the Jags.

Anyhow, it was a lot of fun. Unlike fantasy football, this pick'um league kept me interested in the outcomes of all the games. I hope more Shack Ups participate next year.

And thanks for organizing the league, Mr. Commish CBob.
