Seahawk Identity Offense

Postby Largent80 » Mon Sep 25, 2017 2:10 pm

It is currently run first.

So they hire Eddie Lacy and make him inactive for the 2nd game and zero carries in the 3rd game.

The Hawk offense is no longer run first. This is RW's offense is the truth.

That's a big problem going forward since this offense is built to the former.

We have Bevell as OC, oh man, that's a big problem that the FO doesn't even realize.

I hope y'all enjoyed that SB XLVIII win because it' all were getting with this coaching staff.

The Offenses of the past were dependent on a RB that could punish the opponents. We haven't found a viable replacement yet and the philosophy hasn't changed to reflect that.
Since Lynch left, he took with him more than 100 broken tackles per year or more than 6 per game and one year almost 8 per game on average.
He often broke those tackles at the most effective time - when grinding out a drive to end the game or give a real spark to the rest of the team.
If you don't have a RB that can give you that aspect, the OL has to make up the difference.
And here we are...

Well, the OL is running a blocking scheme that supports the run, so there is that.
