Apathy and self loathing has taken over. Come on things aren’t so bad. Came from 10 back in the 1st half. Defense is set up have a strong 2ndhalf based on time of possession. Sorry if somebody pissed in your Cheerios this morning, but come one guys and gals it’s not all doom and gloom.

I hope they keep pounding the football in the 4th quarter just to keep the offense in rhythm.

That PI call on McEvoy was utter bullsht. What the hell is wrong with officials these days?

Pretty weak? He hardly made contact, and what contact there was was initiated by the defender.

That's one of those they'll rewatch and go "Ugh- missed that one badly."

Honestly, officials used to be modestly adept at discerning judgment calls in such a way that, even if not always correct, they evened out. They don't seem capable of that anymore. Time for full-time officials with a *ruthless* qualifying process.

I'm tired of it.

A little pressure on the QB would be nice. I could play with that much time. I love Earl. Now the O needs to put this one away.

We have got to be the *worst* 'draw the D offsides' team in history.

Now let's see if our vaunted D can keep the Rams offense from ramming it up their butts.

Frank Clark just played his best game as a Seahawk -- 3 run stops for losses and the big strip/sack. Hard to complain with the W, but it's also tough to figure out if we won or the Rams lost.

I thought we would lose this game and though it wasn't a pretty game by the offense. it's a win baby tied for 1st in the west

Will Rambo show his face today or this week you think?

On a side note, didn't they all stand for the anthem today? maybe got their minds on football instead of how they are going to protest-hmm

Wow. Gritty game.

Cooper Kupp coulda left us all with an entirely different taste in our mouths about it ...

Kind of confused why everyone is surprised how we won. PC has always said he wants to get a lead and then turn it over to his defense. He got that. Notice how the play calling changed once we got the lead? Became real conservative. lots of long 3rd downs. That's what he wants a lead and then his defense winning it while his offense plays not to loose.

It was. As much as I want to be upset with the offense for not doing much with the turnovers from the D, I have to tip my cap to a very good Rams defense.

On the penultimate play, I put the blame at Goff's feet, not Kupp's. Kupp was open to get the ball in stride, but instead Goff makes him have to lay out and pull in a bullet with his fingertips. There are more QBs who would have made that throw than there are WRs who would have caught that, IMO.

Good win. A win is a win. A win against a division rival who has bested us in even our best seasons (after roaring out to take the division lead this season) is like a double win. There are a lot of positives to take from this. I’m happy and proud.

Exactly. The Rams have beat us in their house the past three years. We finally got a win against the Rams in their house.

Right this was huge win. We are now tied with them, its going to be a dog fight for the Division the WC is not going to come from the NFC West and I am tired of being the WC team.

Good point Obs! We went on some long drives, and kept TG and company off the field.

I don't know. The crappy offense should be blamed on the coaches. Five turnovers should put more points on the board against a defense that gave up as many points as the Rams have against a team like the 49ers.

On paper, we're about where a lot thought we'd be.

Losing in GB to start a season is hardly shocking, and just a few short weeks ago the Titans were a good team.
Or maybe, we made them look better than they are.

This seems to be another trend - our offense barely manages double digits while 'worse' offenses have hung up 30+ on LAR.
And, for this season anyway, I imagine most of those teams weren't the beneficiary of 5 Turnovers.

Therein lies the problem. Be it a case of an inferior opponent (Indy), or being gifted 5 turnovers (today), our offense is simply incapable of putting teams away when they need to. We used to do that. We used to be pretty good at.

We're 5 games in, 3-2.
I also think we pretty much know what we're gonna see the rest of the year. Good enough to win 10 or 11, but I don't see us in a CCG, either.

Winning by defense and turnovers is the way we won the entire year we won the super bowl (including the super bowl). I'm ecstatic about this win. Yeah we left points out there, but give credit to the way the Rams play defense against US.

I will also add that we held them to ten points on their field and they had been averaging 35 PPG.

We won and it showed that our OL is SLOWLY getting better. But we won, we are tied and we are freaking miracle!!

Actually we are not tied because we beat them. We own the top spot

How about Earl Thomas?...He saved the game although the dropped pass by Kupp was his man as he was trying to bait Goff and chose the wrong player to cover.

Owning the top spot in the division by virtue of a head-to-head result in early October is as irrelevant as setting the high temperature for the year in February.

I've been waiting for someone to slap a ball out of a ball carrier's hands like that for a long time. Obi will recall when the Ducks lost a big game against Cal a few years back when a ball carrier did that at the goal line. Russell Wilson does it even when it doesn't involve a first down. I can see extending the ball to break the plane when you can put both hands on the ball, but you'd better be damn careful when you try that one handed. You could watch a thousand games and never see a play like that. We were luckier than a 3-peckered Billy goat in a herd of sheep.

I wouldn't categorize Kupp's incompletion in the end zone as a drop. He laid out for it and was fully extended when it bounced off his fingertips. It would have been a fantastic catch had he held on. Goff led him too much.

Nonsense. Owning the tiebreaker against the primary division foe is relevant no matter what time of year it is.

You've been around long enough to see division titles and playoff births won and lost on the strength of tiebreakers. Go ahead and point out that there's a lot of season left, and even that a division lead this early is not much to crow about (though far preferable to the alternative), but the head to head tie breaker is important no what time of year it is.

There are only 2 head to head games, getting the first one matters.

It's only going to matter if we win or tie the other head-to-head contest in December. Otherwise, it's just another conference/divisional game.
