Refs hate those uni's too. They keep throwing those damn flags for crap 30 yards from the play. What a terrible game so far.

I swear, in every NFL game on every return there is a flag thrown. Come on NFL you need to have the refs to LET THEM PLAY!

They rolled up on Brown on purpose.

That was a catch and a fumble. He made a catch then those THREE STEPS were what they call a "football" move.

Another B.S. call by the refs. I am sick of it. This reason #356 why viewership is down.

It IS official, the zebras are going out of their way to screw over our Seahawks. There was NO hand to the face by Griffin. It was an out and out LIE. I am so SICK of the NFL and their crooked refs.

Yup, the only way we win is if Drew Stanton is so bad we win by default because the Ref's have bet against us, it's so obvious this week.

I'll always take the win, and it turned out that the short week forced them to put last Sunday behind them. Not impressive, but Any road win is a plus these days.

As for the penalties and refs...I gave up awhile ago on any real improvement here. Pete essentially has been lip service when it really comes to caring about this - I mean, whatever 'message' he had after the 'skins game clearly didn't have much impact. And, of course, there's a a not so veiled bias from the stripes that's happening as well.

I saw shaq griffin get flagged for perfect pass defense . That’s some of the worst ass jobbing I’ve seen sinceXL and there has been plenty.

Their first score was 100% refs. Along with the stupid protests it’s understandable why any fringe fan would get tired of the mind numbing cascade of laundry especially when the hawks are playing .

The NFL and thus the refs want the Rams to win so they can bolster the L.A. market and get people in the stadium. That's my firm belief. I also think that the NFL is cutting its nose off to spite its face.

The attendance is down in 8-10 stadiums every week so much so that the stadium is an echo chamber. So as they try to build the L.A. market, they lose the Seahawks market which is one of the few stadiums that's always packed and even on the road has a great following. Look at Giants game and 9ers game last week when their stadiums were basically empty. Throw in the Cleveland, Cincy and Miami games and you have a failing league because Goodell has dropped the ball on the protest thing and trying to get the L.A. market going.

I am no Jones fan but I am happy he is suing the NFL and Goodell for what's happening in the league. So for now, I am a fan of the Cowboy's owner.

This suit is simply retaliation for Zeke Elliot's suspension.

There are far too many penalties called throughout the league.
When was the last time there was no flag on a punt return? Some of those calls are so minor that the player who was offended didn't even alter course.
It's almost like a directive has been sent to throw flags even if you're not sure.

That's not to say the Seahawks don't commit fouls. We do our share, but when players or teams get a reputation, there seems to be more attention to
them and more flags are thrown because it's expected that they are doing something wrong when it may have been corrected by coaches.

It was hard to see from the stands, but the officiating looked pretty awful. I got heckled by the fans behind me when after watching the Shaq penalty on replay I said “that was good defense, cmon!”

This^

Jones is no hero. The only difference between this and the Brady suspension (besides the fact that it is better founded) is that this time its his guy.

Jones is showing himself to the the self serving pr**k we all know or suspected.
Most of the owners are me first types and only see things from a "how can it benefit me" approach.
It comes from getting your own way all the time by throwing lawyers and/or money at a problem until it goes away.

There are other differences, such as the refusal of the accused Brady to cooperate, but I agree with the analogy as it relates to Jerry Jones.

What really irks me is how both players and owners have become so anxious to look to the courts for relief. I keep being told that the court system is overloaded yet here I am paying tax money for a court system that is being asked to intervene in childish arguments between millionaires that are playing a frigging game.

Why?

I like to know the author of a quote, pretty standard stuff.

I looked back up the thread when you posted that and didn't see it (I do now), if the quote had been attributed I'd have know where to look. Helps me put things in context.

Generally, if I think the author is relevant, or if I'm replying to multiple people in the same post, I'll include the author.

If the author of the quote is irrelevant, as I think it pretty clearly was there, I don't bother.

Sorry if that confuses anyone (seriously- not snark).

I'm not quoting anyone. Perhaps it's just an impression, that the length of time it takes to get court decisions might be due in part to an overcrowded court system.

Nevertheless, I still stand by my statement. I simply don't see why coaches and players must continually turn to the courts for relief. They have a union and an arbitration system.
