Mike Davis Promoted to the Roster

Let the guy get in there and let's see what he can do.
We already know what the rest of them can or can't do.
As previously announced on Tuesday, the Seahawks placed running back C.J. Prosise on Injured Reserve due to a high-ankle sprain and promoted running back Mike Davis from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Carroll said during his press conference that they want to give Prosise some time to heal and that he could return if the Seahawks make a postseason run. “Well it’s going to take some weeks,” Carroll said regarding the decision to put Prosise on IR. “He just had a sprain like this and it’s very similar, so we have a timeframe there in mind. The timeframe is like a six-week timeframe right now ... C.J. is a marvelous player and he just has not be able to stay healthy so we’re going to give him the time to get well and heal it up.”
Carroll said Davis has been one of the team’s favorites since training camp and they’re excited to see what he can bring to the running game in the regular season following a good showing in August. “Mike has really been one of our favorites dating all the way back to camp,” Carroll said. “He had a really good offseason and a really good camp with us and good preseason … he can catch the football, he’s contributed on special teams for us. So we see a little bit of well-roundedness in him and he’s real competitive, he’s really hungry to go. He’s been with us all year so the transition is seamless, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he brings.”
