Should we bring back Kasem?

Postby Stream Hawk » Thu Nov 16, 2017 7:40 pm

Since he was cut today by the Browns? The obvious answer seems yes, but why the heck today did we cut him in the first place and why did he not work out in Cleveland? I hope we do it because I think McAvoy is useless and Russell seem to have a connection with him. Plus Sherman definitely liked him.

Kasen was great in the PRESEASON. He could not make a bad Cleveland team and has like 4 catches on the year. I’ll admit, I was shocked he did not make the initial 53, but maybe there is a reason.

Casey has been dead for several years.

LOL. I used to listen to that guy all the time. i must be getting old.

As for KasEM, well.....who sits then?
IMO this is the deepest receiving corps in Seahawks history with 3 #1 type guys in Baldwin,Richardson and Lockette. Even McAvoy has made some grabs lately. Graham is insane all of a sudden. Willson is just trying to get some balls thrown his way and then McKissick swings out of the backfield. There aren't enough footballs for the receiving corps already and Russ's career best #s at this time of the season are no accident.

My guess is Williams will be around if someone gets hurt. As Sis said so true, if he couldn't hang around with Cleveland maybe there's a reason.

However I would observe that when its Cleveland it cuts both ways based on the stupid personnel decisions made there seemingly since forever.

I’d be for the practice squad.

I always thought he had good hands and big play abilities but not consistently. Probably not a great route runner. Team can always use a local kid who can fill in when needed on the practice squad.

I like his ability to go up for jump balls. I think now, given the state of our RBs, we should consider a guy like this. Even if it is to clear out the underneath route. If they single him, throw it up and let him go get it. I would like to see him there for 10 or so plays a game.

Good point Idaho. The more I think about it, I think we need all the help we can get to have any potential of kicking ass this year. He’s got Superman talent and a repertoire with Russell, so I’m sure he’ll make the practice squad. I still don’t know why we keep Mcelvoy since he’s basically sucked all year.

Stream, I'm not sure he had chemistry with RW. I think he was in when our 2nd and 3rd string QBs were in the games. I wish it was with RW because I think RW picks favorites and tries to force some throws to those favorites sometimes and totally misses wide open others.

So we could still sign him but he'd have to come to us on the active roster.
