Easy game before the tough games

Postby politicalfootball » Sat Nov 25, 2017 8:08 pm

I think the Seahawks are going to beat the 49ers but we have some hard games coming up. The Cowboys and the Eagles will be very tough. If we want to make the playoffs we need to find a way to win these games.

There are no "easy games" for this team. I am sure they will find ways to make this game closer than it should be, just like last time we played SF.

Think about it.. in our 6 wins, none have come "easy" or "clean." I think the Giants game was the closest to an easy win.

Penalties, slow offense, no run game, terrible game plan, poor in-game coaching adjustments, defense not getting pressure and allowing 3rd down conversions...what will it be this week?

P.S. The Jags are way tougher than the Cowboys, mainly because their D is going to wreak havoc.

This team plays to its competition in the *best* of circumstances. If we win, it will either be a miraculous one-off or a hard fought victory.

It's just the reality we have to accept in 2017.

Like Greg said, there are no easy games especially for this team. Injuries galore, PENALTIES galore, a coaching staff that mis-manages the clock and several should have been dumped years ago.

It's like the team is riding a stationary bike while trying to go uphill.

As smart as Paul Allen is I can't believe he's letting it go on, but hey, he's a hands off owner.

There is hope however on the O-Line for the run game if Jeockel lines up next to Brown and Pocic plays RG. The run game could be crucial as it will rain and the turf is grass.

As others have said, the Hawks have this nagging tendency to play down to the level of our competition. This will be anything but an 'easy' game.

And as far as tough games remaining, I'm more worried about Jacksonville and the Rams than I am the Cowboys.

SF is coming off a bye, rested and ready to hit hard. Seattle sustains more injuries and loses......

Incorrect.

Also everyone chalking the Eagles game as a loss need to look at their road so far.....

10-1 Eagles Vs

1 Redskins, Struggling Redskins Lose 5-6 record
2 Chiefs, roaring Chiefs beat the eagles
3 Giants, take the L & currently 2-8
4 Chargers lose 5-6 record
5 Cardinals lose in rebuild year 4-6 record
6 Panthers lose, different team since early in season
7 Redskins, take another L
8 the 49ers take an L but they lose daily 1-9
9 Broncos lose,but who's there qb? 3-7
10 bye week
11 Dallas loses with no zeke in lineup 5-6 record
12 Bears ( bears took the L) bears are 3-8

Here's the ESPN re-cap from the Eagles@Seahawks game last season... Same Same. They came to town as the "team on fire" "too tough"

The team with the most to gain is Seattle.

There's really no such thing as a soft schedule in the NFL, unless you can manage a schedule to play Cleveland every weekend. Parity is the watch word. That record of theirs is legitimate, and their ranking quite accurate IMO.

The Eagles are foe real. They have the best young quarterback in the league, are well balanced both offensively and defensively, and are a team in a rise. They're on a mission, much like we were in 2011-2012. This will be our toughest game on the schedule, both home and away.

I am predicting right now we beat the Eagles and out of the last 5 games the only one that concerns me is Jax.

Eagles have had it way to easy
Jax struggled yesterday, but it's at home for them
Lambs are not ready for prime time
Dal-Ass is a hot mess
Cards are toast.

Historically we match up very poorly against the Rams. I expect a game similar to the one we had in their house.

As you noted, Dallas has played very poorly w/o Zeke Elliott. However, they will be getting him back just in time to face us.

The Cards have played very well in our house, better than any team in the league.
