That is our season in a nutshell, even when a good thing happens Willson wide open and has the ball nobody around he drops it trying to get up.

Yup, but you got to make a half way decent throw. He isn't trying to get off his knees, it is a completion.

Should have never had to get off his knees.

That throw was more than half-way decent, not perfect, but no doubt good enough. That is almost all on #82

All he had to do is secure the ball and roll over and push up with one hand, at least he would have had the completion.

Lets see prevent offense and prevent offense costs us again. Now can RW once again make up for our poor coaching choices

Absolutely crazy. Just crazy. The Hawks' top priority this offseason needs to be finding a good kicker. Not an okay kicker. Not a cheap kicker. Not a reclamation project. Just a good kicker.

Lol... people blaming a kicker... always cracks me up.

Why the offense play for a 48 yard FG?

Why did the snapper and holder botch the snap a second time?

Why did the offense dial back with a ONE point lead, and AGAIN once into the outside of their kickers range? 4, 5 more yards and that botched snap/ hold is good....

But you know it's the kickers fault.

Smh... convenient excuses, convenient escape goats, no objective observation, it's all the line, it's all the kicker.

Despite having the worst (or one of the worst) o-lines, despite losing 3 pro-bowl talents on D, despite drops and the Panthers choking.... we could have had another 10+ win season. Wide effing right. What’d we save again??

Dude while I kind of understand where you are coming from, he has only 1 job and he has been bad at it. Did you not see my post the prevent offense and defense. I put this on the Coaches first form PC on down.

Interesting, I put the Washington loss on the multiple interceptions thrown in their red zone, and this one on coaches playing conservative, trying to squat on a one point lead, then squatting on a long FG attempt, that turned into a botched snap, as well as missing a walk in touchdown, because the ball was underthrown so severely that a receiver dropped it trying to stand back up off his knees....

Of course you would keep the kicker that missed multiple key field goals this season and get rid of the QB that threw for 34 TDs because he's can't get it going in the first half and isn't perfect. And you wonder why we ignore you and your smarmy, self-important "analysis." Blair Walsh being a bad kicker doesn't change anything else.

Worn burner snaps have that effect, to bad he made the first horrid snap actually, maybe Seattle wins if they're playing to score a TD on the first drive, and certainly on the second.

Fitting end to our season. Pay less for a kicker, get a worse kicker.

We need to do a lot of house cleaning this off-season starting with getting rid of this kicker and revamping this O-line starting with the O-line coach. You can't go this many years with bad to average at best O-line play and keep your job if Pete is truly interesting in competition.

Feel free to show me what I said that, ever, anywhere...

I expect my offense to attempt to win games, not play for the long FG, or put up 50yards or less for 2 or 3 quarters a game. If that's "smarmy", then I'm smarmy, and damn proud of it.

I completely agree with this entire analysis HC. Wilson was hot, 47 yards out for Walsh was far from guaranteed. It’s on Bevell and Carroll. It’s on the offense in the first half all year. It’s on Wilson’s slow starts.

But it’s also on Schneider and Walsh. Seattle’s in the postseason if he hits a few kicks for his million a year. 2017 in a nutshell . Wide right. It’s a weird feeling.

Yeah his miss is his fault. I will re-watch for hold/snap. He needs to make kicks missed too many. I agree about play calls getting conservative, I don’t like it at all... he still needs to make that kick if snap/hold are decent!!
