Blair Walsh's next career?

How fitting he should miss that FG at the end of the game. Doesn't really change anything as far as post season play goes but it's kind of a poetic end to a frustrating season for the Hawks and their fans.

I think Blair Walsh needs to consider another career.

It was kind of a poetic end to his short time with us. Only way it could have been made more significant was if ATL had lost.

Yea, he's done alright, and not just with us. He screwed up two jobs, one at Minny and the one here. There's too many other people that can kick footballs, and he's acquired such a reputation that a fan base would hang the GM if he went to a third team and screwed up their season.

Although I will have to give credit where credit is due: Walsh made an incredible kick of the botched XP snap after our last TD. Many kickers stop their motion when they see the holder bobble it that badly.

You won't have to worry about his next stop. He's already made more money in a few years in the NFL than any three or four of us will in our lifetimes. He can probably just buy a bunch of car washes or mini storages and sit back and watch the money roll in.

The sad thing (I'm not feeling sorry for him) is that he started out his career as being a pretty decent kicker and it ended with his final curtain call on the big stage by seeing that ball go wide left and having to leave the field quickly to avoid getting pelted.

Walsh is paid millions to make kicks up to 50 yards. He wipe his tears with some of that money. If he wants back, he needs to learn to make 50 yard kicks, bad snap, bad weather, or whatever obstacle occurs that day.

He's not coming back, not with us, not with anyone. No one's going to give him a chance to get on the field to resurrect his career for the simple reason that if he screws up another team's season like he screwed up the Vikings and screwed up ours, there will be hell to pay for any coach south of Bill Belichek. He's radioactive.

I suspect that we'll draft one of the top college kickers in the 6th or 7th rounds.

His head isn't right now and it shows, never seemed to show any confidence other then when he made that kick against the Vikings.

I say he grows a Stache and tries to begin a career as a 70’s porn star. That may not work either, he would probably not hit the mark—-wide right
