Mock Draft at fanspeak

Postby NorthHawk » Thu Jan 18, 2018 1:32 pm

Time to look at potential picks for us.
I did the Fanspeak draft and came up with the following.

I doubt many of these guys will be available when we select (Bradley Chubb at 18 or Kerryon Johnson at the end of the 7th?) and the site doesn't allow trade down which I suspect will happen.
There's so much talent between 18 and when we pick in the 4th round, I doubt we stay put even if a stud is still there in the 1st.

18: R1P18
LB BRADLEY CHUBB
NC STATE

122: R4P20
RB RASHAAD PENNY
SDSU

143: R5P4
G LARRY ALLEN JR.
HARVARD

148: R5P9
DL HARRISON PHILLIPS
STANFORD

171: R5P32
CB ADONIS ALEXANDER
VIRGINIA TECH

227: R7P8
K MICHAEL BADGLEY
MIAMI (FL)

249: R7P30
TE DALTON SCHULTZ
STANFORD

250: R7P31
RB KERRYON JOHNSON
AUBURN

Two players from Stanford and one from Harvard. Are you picking your players from the Academic All Americans?

I didn't notice that. They were just the best players (in my mind) available at the time of the selection.
Maybe they would be smart enough to not jump off side.

Old but Slow wrote:That would be a nice draft, but there is no way that we would get Chubb at 18, and Kerryon in the 7th round is crazy. Nice try, though. It is fun to go through the FanSpeak draft site, but it is difficult to get them to offer good lists. I will still do it, but it is pretty sketchy.

It really depends on whose boards you use as to how the players are ranked.
I haven't drafted for other teams to see what others think the Seahawks will do.
That might be interesting and it could show us how relevant the rankings are if they don't know the teams needs and focus.
