Re: Dickson (TE) may join the Hawks

With Schottenheimers Offense having been TE heavy in previous years, it makes sense to sign a FA TE or maybe 2. He's known as a good pass blocking TE, but I read some have doubts about his run blocking.
He may be a good veteran presence if they expect to draft a TE or 2 and maybe for Swoopes if he's on the roster this year.

probably the best fit left out there for what Schott wants to do with a TE. He's not going to be a game changer by any stretch of the imagination. IMO Vannett is the prototypical TE for Schott, but one has to wonder why he hasn't played much for the Hawks over the past 2 years. Hopefully he takes a major step forward this season.

I’d like to see Willson back, too.

Up to 14 million.
I wonder what the incentives and such are?

Yeah, that's almost 5 mil/per. It would be interesting to see what the low and high of those are and what will determine what he will get. He's never been a high catch guy, although he did have a pretty good season like 5 years ago. Other than that he had a decent year last year catching. He's a good blocker who fits well into Schott's system.

It's pretty easy to see the offensive strategy for next year. They let P Rich go and sign a blocking TE.

Dickson played a backup role to Greg Olsen while with the Panthers. Through four seasons there, he has 67 catches for 807 yards and five touchdowns.

Dickson’s best performance came in Week 5 last season, when he started in place of an injured Olsen and recorded five catches for 175 yards.
