Happy Draft Day Shackers!

Postby yoder » Thu Apr 26, 2018 11:47 am

Football is back...kinda! Thanks you guys for keeping this place alive during the off season, otherwise it would be an arid desert. Somebody is contributing to this site pretty much every single day, even during Christmas! I'm talking to you RD. :D

This is going to be one hell of an interesting year, the locker room is going to have that "new car" scent for a while.

Go Hawks!

The draft is always an exciting time for me.
Another poster likened it to Christmas when you get to open your presents.
Except in this case, we get to openly complain about the bounty we received.
It's the best of both worlds!

Edit: bad link.

Was curious if anyone thought we may draft Shaq Griffin?

Happy trade down day or happy trade out of the 1st. round for additional "value picks" day or my best (or worst) Happy Drafting Future Bust Day!!!

Ok, OK, how about Happy Drafting Best Available Athlete Day??? That's what I say we go for, the Best (BEAST) Available Athlete after trading down recouping picks traded away in last years futile play off push. I expect thy hope to parlay ET in to at least an 3rd. downer but will probably have to settle for a combo of a 4th. and a 6th. for Ole Earl.

This draft is going to be long remembered as a turning point, but will it be a turning going back to the top or back to the bottom. In spite of my posts I hope the Hawks return to greatness but I fear Pete is trying to sell shares in a gold mine he "salted" a few years ago and is living off the rumors that the mine still has another mother lode strike in her when what's really going to happen is Seahawk fans will get the shaft.

As per usual we have traded down, oh, and with Green Bay, again...

Well, we did need the picks...

At least we still have a 1st round pick.

... first round pick... for at least about 1.5 hours -- the team doesn't like that 5th year option, so I'll bet we trade out of the first round.

Yeah god forbid we could get an impact player, wouldn't that be a novel concept!
