McGough can play

Plucky kid who struggles with decision making at times due to not having the playbook down and still adjusting to the speed of the pro game but he can make all the throws and is a competitor.

I’m not crazy about either back-up. Alex seems to play better in games, so of the 2, I’d keep him for his upside. I’m prepared to have the FO keep the vet, though. I think we are hosed either way if RW goes down.

Right now I think Davis is the back up and we try to get Magoo to the PS.

Sorry, curmudgeon, I didn't see your post and started a thread on it.

McGough's talents are impressive and the kid seems to have some pocket awareness, size and wheels. His arm is stellar. Watching his performance last night which was diminished by a receiver stepping out of bounds to kill a TD when Mcgough lauinched a 65 yard perfectly thrown missile on a dead run after a houdini like escape from a sack was eye popping.

Im wondering why we traded for the pedestrian Hundley to begin with. This kid really has a future in the league

McGough has much the same skill set as RW but of course the polish and experience are not there yet. I hope the FO has the good sense to put him on the practice squad and not cut him this weekend.

Gotta cut him and hope he clears waivers to get him to the practice squad.

Shouldn't have more than 2 QBs on the roster. If something were to happen to RW, Hundley could carry on for a few games but he is not the answer. Hundley doesn't seem to have the skills of an elite QB. He is merely an adequate backup.
