Yep, that was classic Beast Mode, but Todd Gurley and the Rams had the last laugh.

He's still breaking tackles and punishing tacklers.
Good for him.

Say what you want about that article last week about the "rift", it definitely holds alot of merit to the fall of the Seahawks the last few years.

But I always thought things changed the day that Lynch was brought into Seattle and then the day he left. They instantly got an identity with his arrival, and that was the foundation for what was to come. He also seemed to be the glue between the offensive players and defensive players. The defense loved Beast, loved his toughness, probably was thought of as an honourary member of the LOB.

Then the "play" in the Super Bowl happened, ball not given to Beast, and from there, he seemed like he checked out of Seattle a bit? I don't know. It seemed the identity was gone. And when he was traded, I felt their identity was traded along with it. I always thought Lynch was the straw that stirred the drink in Seattle. He was the most important piece during those 5-6 years for everything he represented. He was one of a kind, you don't find Lynch type players every year.

Seeing a few of his runs last night, it reminded me of what he meant in Seattle, how teammates would rally around a guy like that, how much value he held and respect he commanded by just being BeastMode.

He will go down as one of my all time favourite Hawks, I truly miss him on our team.

His running style beats defenders down and he's had a somewhat surprisingly long career being they type of runner.
For years here he led the league in broken tackles and one year had close to 40 more than the next player.
I think his average that year was somewhere around 8 or 9 broken tackles/game.
That quality led many to believe our OL was pretty good when in fact it was Lynch making them look good.
Once he left, they were exposed.

That’ss a good point Agent. He certainly brought an identity w/ him. In addition to the punishing style, he brought attitude. He revved up the D, too. Trading for Lynch and drafting Russell are two of the biggest moves in franchise history. That they aligned with the formulation of the LOB and that whole defensive ID made for the most successful stretch of seasons the Hawks have ever had. To read the tales of doom and gloom in here, one would hardly know we were successful at all. Now if that Wilson loser could quit running around and become elite, we might be on to somethin’
