For the 1972 Dolphins, if they can stay up late enough.

from what I hear, many of them hope someone breaks that unbeaten snap so they don't have the attention every year. Many of them no longer open the champagne anyways.

I never heard that they hope someone breaks it, but I have heard that the party/champagne thing after the last undefeated team loses is a myth. But it's an entertaining myth just thinking about it.

The Dolphins of that era were one of my favorite teams back then, and I could probably still name close to half the starters on both offense and defense. My favorite team until 1976, that is.

Yeah, I may have exagerated a bit but they do wish that other people could experience an undefeated season and have a team that is as good as they were. Might be splitting hairs as to whether they want it broken or if they just wish good to happen to others.

It's been awhile ago, but I recall a game late in the regular season that pitted the Dolphins at home against an undefeated team (Bears, I think?). They made a big deal out of the '72 Dolphins, talked about the current team defending the Czonka/Griese/Warfield team's perfect record, and sure enough, the Dolphins won.

Pretty sure that was the most dominant Bears team ever '85 - Da Bears!

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that It was the same year that Arizona coach Dennis Green had his famous "they are who we thought they were!" and "..crown their ass" post game melt down on MNF.

Without doing a fact check, that sounds about right.

Okay, so I'll come clean on this, I went back and pulled up all the Bear's seasons from 1985 until I found it. (I should have started from 2015 and worked backwards though...) :)

Didn't the Cowboys go 15-1 recently. Turned out to be a flash in the pan.

Well the Pats went 16-0 in the regular season and lost only in the Super Bowl. I loved that one...

They went 13-3 in 2016 but were one and done in the playoffs. They were never a threat to the '72 Dolphins record as they lost their opener.

You're right, they were a flash in the pan. They missed the playoffs last season and aren't looking so hot this year.

They lost their oline and Dak and Zeke aren't as good without the probowlers in front of them.

I remember that Bears Dolphins game and where I was at the time, watching on a 17 inch TV in a hotel room in Waldport Ore. They got Marinoed :D

Ditka and Buddy Ryan almost got in a fistfight on the sidelines over Ryans refusal to drop more men into coverage :D

It was nice to see the Lambs lose but tragic that Seattle lost their 4th winnable game of the year the same day

Here's the injury report as of Friday from PFT:

Seahawks at Rams

Most of the players on the Seahawks injury report — RB Chris Carson (hip), G D.J. Fluker (calf), DT Nazair Jones (illness), S Bradley McDougald (knee), G Jordan Simmons (calf), DT Shamar Stephen (foot), LB K.J. Wright (knee) — are listed as questionable. CB Neiko Thorpe (groin) is the exception and he’s listed as doubtful.

The Rams don’t have any players listed on Friday’s injury report.

It's going to be an uphill climb.
