He's only 23 6'2" 245 started tonight vs Minnesota. He seems like he's the reason we don't need to draft a linebacker next year.

Our defense is coming on strong, bring on KFC er I mean KC . Lol

They have him listed as a DE and he's been playing there.
Is there some talk of him moving to OLB? I have thought that they might want him to put on 10 or 15 lbs in the next 2 years as he matures if it doesn't impact his speed and keep him at DE along with Green and Clark.
I still think they go DL or maybe OLB if they trade down a couple of times with their first pick, regardless.

Oh my bad I thought he was a LB . Be that the case then I too would like to see us draft a LB in the 1st round maybe.
Did you see my man though he was all over the field, don't know how many tackles for a loss he had or sacks. Didn't even know he was on the bench. A plesent surprise for me . Makes Irvin look like junk. I mean if he continues to play for us at such a high level.
I see our future and it is called the playoffs.

Go Hawks !!!!!!!

Depending on what happens to KJ's knee and contract and with Kendrick's sentencing we may be in need of LB more than anywhere else.

You always need to draft a LB (just like o-line).

But I like the kid too, definitely looks like a keeper.

keepers? Add Calitro to the list, too.

Calitro first name Austin, played football for Villanova in college. Absolutely hawaii he's a keeper Seahawks will even give him some plays , if he's not already gotten some. I don't know, I say welcome aboard. There is only one downside as far as I can see. Austin is listed as only 6' 0".
Too short, just like a certain Seahawks quarterback we all know, .... right ?

Calitro has played unexpectedly well and I hope we keep him if he continues to produce, but an OLB that can play at the level of Wright or better would be a real good fit especially so if he has some pass rush ability.
Sam Mills was short, but he's in the HoF so talent and hard work will win out. We know Calitro works hard and is a pretty good tackler, so I hope he sticks around.

Mychal Kendricks broke his Tibia in the game against the Vikings and is gone until his sentence is completed, or maybe for his career depending on how much time he gets.

I saw that come across the wire, too bad, too. Our post season will be shorter if we have to depend on Calitro. We need KJ to get healthy but I think he's doing a quiet hold out at this point.

From what I've read, Kendricks may get probation, since there are no set guidelines and he showed remorse paid back to ill-gotten gains and admitted guilt. While many white collar crimes give me a real cringe, as they have hurt multiple people (ponzi schemes for instance) this one does not fit any direct category and will depend on a judge and prosecutors for final determination.

Curious where that came from? So, You don't think he's 'really' got a knee issue and would go overseas for that athletic blood transfusion just to skip a couple of starts? I won't rule it out, but that would be a stretch and very disappointing, if true.

He’s going into Free Agency next year, so it might not be a wise move to have other teams think he’s injured or has reached the stage where his body is breaking down.

Unfortunate to lose him so soon after his return. Kendricks imho was far and away the best outside LB on the roster this year, always around the ball, making plays. His loss is unfortunate both in that we just got him back, and the timing of the season.

I like the depth at the position, but my preference would be him being plugged in for the remainder of the year.

Truly impressive playing an entire half on a fractured leg.

Wow he played an entire half on a fractured leg how old school is that ?
We need him back bad but he'd better be completely healthy no fractured leg or anything else injured in a major way.

Some people just have a higher threshold for pain.
Very impressive, and I sure hope he gets a lighter sentence than 30 - 35 months that some are expecting.

I Think a lighter sentence is highly possible and we may see him before 2020.

About Jacob Martin, he is quietly doing quality work at DE assists with Clark, they are getting to every QB we have faced so far. The future looks bright.

Seems like there has been an unusual number of tib/fib fractures this year in the NFL.

No, it's just the reports by the media have gotten out of hand. Look it up I think you will find I am right, it's probably about the same as last season.

About Jacob Martin not Kendricks

Now I'm not so sure if Calitro is going to be the starter. He will see some minutes to make it interesting however.

I like this one he's gonna be a real good DE. What we need is quality depth at DE. Jacob Martin is not a well known name among DE in the NFL. I am predicting next couple of years he will solidify the DE and he plays great. Look out for Jacob Martin

Maybe they'll teach him to play standing up. He's got the speed and quickness. The league is going back to running games and we need big LB's that can tackle. We've had combo players before. He can still rush the passer. Probably gets him more plays, which is a good thing.
