I just saw a play that beats Russell's brain fart at the end of the first half of the Vikings game: Jared Goff.

Russ is great and Brady was extremely great but is sliding fast this year .
Goff is messed up right now. He’s a throw by the numbers guy who gets flustered under duress. His weaknesses primarily in the brains and courage department are being exposed. This is a very weak 2 seed.

Game ending pick 6? I think you're a little confused. The last play of the Pats-Steelers game was Brady overthrowing a receiver in the end zone on 4th down. Brady didn't even throw a pick 6.

Brady’s pick was horrible though . Just threw it up for grabs in the red zone . Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy

Yea, that one reminded me of Russell's pick, too.
Actually the player those
'just blindly fling the thing in the air' passes reminds me the most of is Rex Grossman.

Your right I was thinking a few years ago when Brady threw a game-ending pick 6. It was a long weekend LOL

The Ram's O Line is not keeping Goff clean like they were the first half of the season.

The Rams aren't the only team whose high octane offense has ground to a halt. Did you guys watch the Saints-Panthers game last night? Drew Brees threw for a shade over 200 yards, no TD's, and a QBR of 28.5. He barely broke 200 yards passing last week, too.

What surprised me more was Newton's passes. How bad was he. I don't remember him throwing that bad ... ever!

Defensive coordinators are starting to get a handle on the hotshots!

I noticed that, too. One of the commentators was illustrating how Newton throws more with his upper body vs. stepping into his throws like most QB's do, which causes his passes to come out high. But I'd have to assume that he's been throwing like that during most of his career, which if that's the case, doesn't explain what we were seeing last night.

Not only that but most of the throws I saw was YARDS short, not just underthrown. There has to be something wrong with him and he's not telling anyone.

Agreed. It's not like his throws were overly affected by the pass rush, either. He looks uncomfortable back there. Perhaps he's hearing footsteps?

Could be. I actually think he has something wrong with his shoulder or that Norv Turner is changing his throwing patterns, habits or something and he's not comfortable with it yet.

Newton has had a shoulder injury for weeks.
I thought it was common knowledge.

Yes, I see that now, and it makes sense. But it begs the obvious question: Why didn't they sit him?

Same reason Indy tried to play Luck through the same injury.

I knew nothing about it but I don't follow other teams as close as I do the Seahawks.

I actually heard quite a bit of talk about Newton's shoulder injury today on Sirius NFL. Apparently they can't pinpoint the source of the pain so there's no way to treat it other than with pain meds. They haven't made a decision on his status for this Sunday, but the speculation was that he'd play.

That's too bad for him. They should sit him until they figure it out. They don't have his best interest and the long term interest of the team in mind if they play him again. I was also wondering why he wasn't running as much as he did against us.

I'm not sure what the chances of the Panthers making the playoffs are, but with 4 teams ahead of them for 2 wild card spots and 2 weeks to go, they have to be down to slim and none. There's no reason not to shut him down, especially considering that Newton's style of play that subjects him more to injury, especially a shoulder injury, vs. a QB like Brady or Rodgers.

for all intents and purposes their season is over now. I think they have to shut him down.

I knew he was hurt, but I didn't know that they can't pinpoint whats wrong. That's really strange.
