Too bad, and I hope Carson stays healthy but it seems drafting a RB at some
point could be in the cards. My hope in later rounds is AJ Dillon. He’s a much
more disciplined version of Eddy Lacy (about 250lbs) and breaks a lot of tackles.
He could be a real hammer if used as a RB and not a FB.

Depending on the individual, and the extent of the injury, ACLs can take up to a year to heal and the player ready
to play. It wouldn't surprise me to see Penny on IR to start the year and not eligible until the 8th game like TE
Dickson was this year. Even then, he will have the mental hurdle to overcome with getting hit and playing
freely without concern. I think this means the RB position has moved up the priority level in the off season
whether it be FA's or draft picks. I would think it would be a draft pick, though.

I dont know I'll leave it to River or Cbob but I think they cut bait on Penny and move on. I could see going either way at this point.

He's damaged goods so trading him now is out of the question. We'll just have to wait and see how he recovers from surgery, but I think North Hawk may be right, that RB will move up the ladder on our wish list. It will be one of those bridges we cross when we get to it.

What do I know? I was pretty sure we were holding onto, then polishing up Penny just before the trade deadline to trade him while he still had some trade value ...

If Prosise is any indication, Pete will give Penny every chance to come back to full health.
However, Prosise hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy so it would seem we need an
addition of talent.

Its never been an issue of talent with Prosise which is why he's stuck so long. Its obviously health thats held him back. I remember a 2 game stretch a couple years ago where he led the team in rushing and receiving in a rare win in Foxborough including an incredible basket catch of a long bomb from Wilson. He backed it up by housing it from 70+ against Philly only to fracture his shoulder blade later in the game. If he's healthy hes a bit more accomplished receiver than Penney, probably not quite as fast or physical. Obviously we need the change of pace. Dude went off for 18 on the play he got hurt. Rooting for CJ to stay healthy and be productive and Penney to get well quick.

Why is Penny still listed as Out" for the game on the injury list. Don't they move him to the IR?

Clowney has the flu guess no one got their vaccines in September, the flu guys should have coughed on the Niners more

Kendricks is out, too. Hopefully we have enough depth. The Panthers are a team in flux, if we can't beat them, then it's a good indication that we've peaked a little too early.

Back in the day of players like Alzado, Lambert, Conrad Dobler, and others they would not baby them. Seahawks like wrap a soft blanket on them and cuddle.. LOL
