Could this be better??

Tough loss but I’m more optimistic now than I was going into the game (man I wish Hawks would let RW air it out the whole game !!) our path through the playoffs is pretty clear and we are actually in a better position to make a deep playoff run losing this game than if we would have won. Our path to the SB probably goes: @Philly, @SF, @No. IMO we are in a better overall position to make a deeper run with that than if we were: vs. Vikings, @NO, @SF... nothing is guaranteed in this league is guaranteed and you always want to play at home, buuuuuttt, maybe we get healthy (Diggs and Brown) and a Philly game isn’t so terrible and I would rather delay playing in NO as long as possible and then BAM we’re back in the SB!!

Ya hawks can’t seem to put together a complete game, I just hate losing the way they did, of all teams had to be the Niners to give them a way easier path to Super Bowl. 2 wins at home and they’re in.... yuck....
And ya getting Diggs back hopefully will be huge, but will he be close to 100% I doubt it, hopefully they can get a win in philly and get some momentum going into a rematch with the Niners and wipe those shitty smiles off their faces.. they should thank their lucky stars they are in the position they have now, no they didn’t earn it the hawks gave it to them in the end

It's hard to paint a smiley face on this team when we've lost 3 of our last 4. Out of those three losses, I think we had the lead for about 5 minutes.

We really needed that first round bye, to get everybody healthy. My heart sank when the Packers beat the Lions.

We've never had teams that were complete in a game sense.
Even when we had the LoB, and were dominating defensively there were problems on Offense that were never addressed.
It's been a continual theme under PC of starting slowly and then having a furious 2nd half to win.

It wasn't for the lack of trying. We traded first round picks/players for Harvin and Graham. Obviously they didn't work out and even without the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I didn't like either trade, but it's not like PC never recognized that we had problems on offense that needed to be addressed.

The line has been our constant problem, probably the best one at years end was 2013 although it was horribly banged up in the regular season that year leading to several gut check games like all of them this year. Its a credit to Russ it hasn't been a 500 team the past decade. He was absolutely masterful yesterday moving the ball at all against a withering rush with only 2 of the 5 guys that started the season. His sliding around in the pocket and dodging defenders was as good as I've seen. And for all those complaining about him not going headfirst he took a few hits standing up at the end of runs.It wasn't his fault. At least it was a close game unlike the two ugly blowouts earlier in the month.

Philly is missing Ertz. That's huge because they are pretty decimated at receiver last I heard. It was really one of our easier games of the year and we struggle with tight ends. I like our chances in this game. After that it's not going to be easy to play 9ers, Saints, Packers or Minnesota or whoever emerges from the smoke. I can't remember this stacked an NFC in a long time.

Yah, I should have said never corrected instead of never addressed.
It's been a common theme, though but as discussed in the past, it probably comes with a coach that is focused more on Defense than Offense and we saw the opposite with Holmgren.

They lost their RG Brandon Brooks yesterday, too.
Here's a comment from PFT:

The Eagles also lost defensive end Daeshon Hall for the remainder of their run. He tore his ACL on the final play of Sunday’s game.

Running back Miles Sanders hurt his ankle during the win and Pederson said he is day-to-day. He also said that he expects tight end Zach Ertz (ribs) and right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) to practice this week after missing Sunday’s win.

Apparently Kendricks has a torn ACL now on our Defense.

Although I hate what happened last night and how it happened, now with the way it’s setup, the hawks if they win at philly can knock the Niners off their cocky pedestal in 2 weeks, wouldn’t that just be awesome. If they take it one game at a time and don’t look at the huge mountain they will have to get over they could cause some havoc, won’t be easy for sure but it can and has happened before...

You're assuming that the Saints beat the Vikings. If Minnesota wins, they'll face the Niners and should we win, we'd be off to the Frozen Tundra.

This is a pretty evenly matched playoff grouping. I don't mind going on the road, but with as banged up as we are, we really needed that bye.

Yes of course penciling in having the saints win, then hawks could have a rematch with Niners,

I'd rather face the Niners on the road than I would Green Bay or the Saints home or away. We're more familiar with them, we seem to match up pretty well, and there'd be a strong contingent of 12's in Santa Clara.

But first things first. In our first matchup, much of our success can be attributed to Carson Wentz's horrible day. It's unlikely that he'll play that poorly against us again. I have no doubt that we'll end up in a street fight again with the game going right down to the wire.

Wendz has really turned it around since our last meeting but he's done it against the NFC least winning 4 in a row in division. There were whispers about him maybe being a bust earlier in the year. He's become one of if not the only guy to throw for 4000 yards with no receiver amassing 500 yards or more he's had such a patchwork crew. I like Seattle's chances but its not going to be a game they turn it over 5 times most likely. Oh well we got a pulse. This is the weakest team in the postseason. If Seattle cant beat them they surely wouldnt have beaten anyone else either. 3 losses in a row would be a very disappointing end to the season.
