Is already in the rear view. I'm totally OK writing this whole year off as an aberration in the weirdest year of my life.

Going foreword though someone needs to tell Pete we don't have to put away the pass game because the defense is back. It is acceptable to play great defense and offense! It's not necessary to shackle Russ and DK and Lockette because we start playin good defense again. Good defense doesn't have to only go with a ground and pound offense.

They started playing better on Defense so Pete brought out the Prevent Offense.
Boring and disappointing.

Preach!!! We are wasting the prime of RW career. We were so conservative the last half of the season it was embarrassing. If I were RW I would be pissed. Why pay a QB 35 million and then handcuff him with an offense for a guy like Goff? I’m tired of the conservative offense costing us playoff games.

I do think it’s time to start criticizing PC and company. What is your identity and what are you trying to do? The offense was bad for half the season and the defense was historically bad for part of the year and not good enough today against a clearly limited Rams offense. My guess is nothing will happen. PC will blame it on the turnovers and a few mistakes. The reality is we shouldn’t have been in this situation. We play with no margin for error on offense. We should have gotten into an uptempo style way earlier, but it looked like we were content exchanging punts and playing field position (typically Peteball). With a guy like Russ against a D like the Rams going uptempo should be a no-brainer, but we didn’t and now we waste another year. It was just like every other playoff loss. Was anybody surprised by our offensive ineptitude? I would love to see RW in an innovative offensive system. I’m crossing my fingers that Schottenheimer gets hired somewhere else, but the reality is Pete is going to hire the same type of guy.

"This season" was the first season in franchise history that we didn't score a touchdown on either defense or special teams. That puts a lot of pressure on the offense to produce. Getting that pick 6 sure helped take the pressure off the Rams offense.

No question Bob but did Covid really affect us as much as some teams? I would say no.

Although I'm not going to "totally write it off" no more than I would have written it off had we won the Lombardi, I understand what he's saying. The entire preseason canceled, summer camp extremely limited, no rookie camp, no OTA, the protocols, all had an accumulative effect deserving of a large asterisk. It was an extremely weird season, the only season even comparable being the strike season in the early 80's.

The Draft is going to be weird, too and there are some comments that coaches and GM's might not be able to see it live.
That might mean fewer trades and some unexpected draft picks come Draft Day.

Absolutely correct. This past CFB season has been a complete abortion, with most of the mid majors and smaller conferences not having played at all and with two big ones, the Pac 12 and Big 10, playing abbreviated seasons. Scouting and player evaluation will make the 2021 draft even more of a crap shoot than it has been in the past.

I truly believe that the understanding of how screwed up this draft is going to be was a major factor why we were willing to pay such a high price for Jamal Adams.

I think they would have paid a high price for Adams anyway but it works in our favor that the picks
given up this draft might not be as solid as in other years.
