Maragos to Philly

Postby I-5 » Wed Mar 12, 2014 4:21 pm

3 years/4 mil...I guess that's too rich for Seattle to pay for a special teams standout and solid if unspectacular backup to Earl. It's also a vote of confidence for Shead. They know better than we do, so I trust them. Happy for Maragos, though! He was a great guy for us, always positive always energetic.

Who's next? Miller? Farwell?

This is one of those losses that may not be noticed until we see if our ST play suffers a bit. Either way, can't blame the guy for taking as much as he can get, especially since he's the type of player that's never gonna get the super lotto money in an NFL context.

At least he won't be our backup holder on FG's again....lol...what a mess that was.

Good on him though, solid ST'er, guys like that go unnoticed by other teams fans, but I think he was appreciated by our fanbase for the role he played.

Good for him. He has a ring, he probably won't have to worry about money for the rest of his life, and he'll have an opportunity in Philly that he may have never gotten here, and that is to be a regular starter for an NFL team.

If he plays his ass off he could make some real money in 3 years. Good for him.

And he'd be only 30.

Hey Riv.

4 million and he'd never have to worry about money again?

That's not near enough for me to not ever worry about money again. ;)
