Guess i will start the game thread since no once else has yet....

Walker has looked good, our defense has looked good so far. Jigba has made some plays. Our wr's have blocked lol. Only bad things are geno has looked a little lost at times and dallas fumble on the punt return. Its still early tho.

I know a lot of people (maybe not here but in general) are looking past this game but our division always plays each other tough. I think this game is a good prove it type of game for us. GO HAWKS!!!

Losing this game would be an embarrassment. So I expect a win and hopefully a solid one.

I expect it to be a close hard fought game like it always is against the cards.

well our defense played well other than that one scramble from dobbs. Smith did ok, but the 3 turnovers were ugly. I will take the win.

Nothing better than victory formation to close out a game!

well a rather sloppy win. I think our D was better than our O today....Gino again struggling, not sure what is up with that, but a win against a divisional rival so will take it.

Red zone problems apparent again on offense with turnovers added in kept it from being a decisive win.

I'm a little too busy on Sundays to participate in a game thread. Glad that you guys were able to get some participants.

A win's a win, but it wasn't exactly comforting about the way we played.
We still have trouble on 3rd downs on both sides of the ball, but we did enough to win which is all that really matters.
Bobo seems to be one of those big play types who needs to be on the field more.
We have to get a QBOTF this draft if we want to take the next steps in 2 years.
The rest of the schedule looks like it could be tougher than originally thought with the Browns, Ravens, and Steelers looking better than expected.

I liken Bobo to Joe Jurevicius. Big-body type with reliable hands that can fight for catches and a willing blocker. Looks like he'll be a good route runner. Only knock is speed. I'll happily trade that for the rest.

Almost all tough outs the rest of the season. Need Geno to live to fight another day instead of taking those risky throws.

I've likened Bobo to JJ, too. Big, tough receiver that won't break any speed records but has good hands and is a very good blocker.

Speed is not the most important attribute for a wide receiver. Cooper Kupp is a sloth for his position, running the 40 in 4.62. That's slower than what Russell Wilson turned in (4.55).

TO's not good. Hard to win when you're a -3 in TO's. But win we did, shut them out in the second half, so good effort by the D. Adams and Spoon were awesome.

Did anyone else hear the announcers talking about Marshawn Lynch during the game? I thought it was funny when they stated how Lynch was hard to bring down because he was 230-240 lbs. The man was 215-220! Impressive that his style and toughness has him remembered 15-20 lbs heavier than he was.

It caught me off guard, too but Marshawn was considered one of the most physical RBs of his era and its born out by his stats for broken tackles. We were lucky to have had him play for us fans.

I honestly don't pay a lot of attention to the announcers. I'm either fast forwarding through a pre-recorded game or splitting my attention between our game (or some other locally broadcast game) and the Red Zone. And even when I'm watching just the one game, there's a lot of time that I mentally screen out their chatter.

But to your point about Beast, yes, he ran like he was 240 lbs. But his biggest attribute was his running stance. I've never seen a player with such a wide gait, which helped him keep his balance and bounce off tackles. That, plus his motor was nonstop.

We were definitely fortunate to have him.

I remember his wide running stance and motor; doesn't appear to be very common among running backs. And am I misremembering a Cardinal's player talking about how strong Marshawn was? Even his raw strength was more than his weight would indicate.

Excuse we while I go watch the Beast Mode run highlight.
