That's a bummer. Had no knowledge he was really hurt. Danielle Hunter is available. They may not be the exact same player, but sure wouldn't hurt to have someone with 100 sacks on the team.
If we're serious, he wouldn't be a bad addition, even if it only is until the end of the season.

From a talent perspective, he could be a good addition, but we are tight on the Cap and his hit this year is $20M.
From Spotrac:
'In 2023, Hunter will earn a base salary of $10,000,000 and a signing bonus of $5,500,000, while carrying a cap hit of $20,953,333 and a dead cap value of $35,860,001.'

I don't know what that hit would be for part of the season, but I doubt we would want to take it on considering we have a number of FA's coming up in 2024.

If we're gonna trade for someone, we'd better do it damn quick. The trading deadline is Oct. 31st, a week from today.

It's a bummer. I was never too impressed with his play. I think he is a solid starter, but he never blew my socks off with his play or his pass rushing skills. I would be excited to see what we have in Derrick Hall as next man up.

Frank Clark is still sitting out there, not sure if the Seahawks would take a flyer on a 1 year deal with him as it seems the Chiefs aren't interested in him anymore.

Never saw that coming, nor was I expecting that.

It makes perfect sense. There's a reason Seahawks players want to come back. The price is right, too. He's going to ball here, just like Bobby and Reed came back and are balling.

And there's no long term commitment from what I've heard so it won't impact the Cap in future years.

The other reason the players are coming back: No Russell Wilson

Well, I don't know how much RW has to do with it on the defensive side of the ball. But certainly, while he may not have much left in the tank, it gives them another guy in the rotation. He only played 36 snaps in Denver, and after the release, his 2023 salary is the league minimum of $841K, so not a risk for Seattle. Who knows, they may not be done. We'll find out 10/31.

Seconded.

Some of the stuff people on here attribute to Wilson is nutty. Just pure imagination and fabrication.

I can see that happening in Denver last season because Hackett literally kissed Russell's ass, gave him all sorts of perks that other players weren't privy to. A little less so here.

With regards to the Frank Clark signing. It's a very low risk move, so there's nothing at all to complain about. However, let's not get our hopes up. Clark just got released from the worst defense in the league. If they couldn't use him, it's doubtful that we can, either.

I'm hoping he can be as productive as Nwosu and anything extra is a bonus.
