On The Bright Side...

Postby 4XPIPS » Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:06 pm

Huskies showed up on the primetime stage and went toe to toe with a Lincoln Riley offense and no defense. That Dillon kid, man he is a stud, and while limping around the sideline still came in and continue to hit the open holes fast for long runs.

Oh wait! Sorry.... there was nothing bright to come from the Ravens game.

Niners were lucky to sit out today as the whole NFC west got spanked hard.

should have been a HUGE motivating factor for the Hawks. WE could be up by two games on them!!

If there is a bright side, it's that this was a non-conference game. Of our 3 losses, 2 have come at the hands of AFC opponents (Ravens and Bengals). That could make a difference when it comes to tiebreakers. The other 'bright side' is that we're still tied for the division lead.

There's still a lot of football left to be played. With the possible exception of the Eagles, who currently have a 2-score lead over the Cowboys going into the 4th quarter, there is no dominant team in either conference.

But let's not kid ourselves. No way are we a top tier team.

Well the NFC West made history this last weekend. Albeit the 49ers did not participate in this monstrosity.

NFC west in forever in the history books for having the worst division representation ever, from a total offensive out put to a complete point differential. If you like numbers this is horrific, and these are the top stats that stand out how badly the NFC west played collectively.

Cards vs Browns
Points 0 to 27
Total Yards 58(yes 58) to 326
First Downs 7(1 penalty) to 17(1 penalty)
3rd Down Efficiency 8%to 35%

Rams vs Packers
Points 3 to 20
Total Yards 187 to 391
First Downs 10(1 penalty) to 21(1 penalty)
3rd Down Efficiency 35% to 50%

Hawks vs Ravens
Points 3 to 37
Total Yards 151 to 515
First Downs 6(0 penalty) to 29(2 penalty)
3rd Down Efficiency 8% to 46%

Now for the Totals

NFC West vs Opponents
Points 6 to 84
Total Yards 396 to 1232
First Downs 23(2 penalty) to 67(4 penalty)
3rd Down Efficiency avg 17% to 44%
