Toasted Head Coach guesses?

So far just Kubiak, but who else gets the pink slip?

I'll pull out the most obvious to me, Shanahan, he'll be fired with the 7million owed or not IMHO. The choice is RGIII, and something tells me that isn't going to change in the nations capital anytime soon, even IF IMHO Cousins is the better QB right now.

Titans Munchak is my guess.
Garrett in Big D could take the fall for an incompetent GM.

Leslie Frasier I think will be gone too and rex ryan. No need to enter the coaches of the cowgirls and raiders no one ever seems to make it for 3 seasons at those clubs even though I think both of those coaches don't deserve the majority of blame for their records, I do think they will be done.

Bonus question: Who would you guys guess to take over their vacancies?

Pretty sure Darrel Bevell will be taking one of them

Hard to guess outside of the seemingly obvious ones that others have already mentioned. It's no coincidence that, in most cases, none of these teams have a franchise QB at all or one that can be banked on for the long term future.

About the only exception I guess would be Atlanta. If Smith goes, I still think Ryan remains the QB. As for RGIII, I don't see that guy having much more than an above average career no matter where he plays.

I'm pretty sure Lovie Smith will be a HC next year.
Maybe Minnesota, Washington, or a surprise opening in Detroit if he doesn't land the Texas job.

I think we might see Wisenhunt resurface as a HC, and something tells me one of the commentators will be pried out of a booth this offseason as well ( guessing Gruden, but could be the Jaw as well). Just my guess is all, but those guys could be moving into new digs soon...

I'll say it, Kiffen is gone and Garrett SHOULD be gone at Dallas. But this was hinted at already. Other than that, looks like AZ has a coach, early in the year I would have predicted him getting sacked.

If Dallas doesn't make the playoffs, Garrett is gone. Same goes for Rex Ryan. I wonder about Mike Smith in Atlanta. He was in a similar predicament that Kubiak was down in Texas, but didn't crash and burn quite as badly. Snyder owes Shanny too much money, so I don't think he goes. Schwartz could be on thin ice if the Lions don't make it.

I agree with everything you just said except about Schwartz. I like his chances to survive one last year. Thin ice will not crack beneath his feet because he has Megatron backing him up.

Could someone please explain to me why I like the Lions? I have positive feelings about this team, and I don't know why. Weird.

Edit: Subconscious kicking in, due to a friend called Johnny W. Isn't one armed Burley there? Mystery solved!

I think the Jets have been officially eliminated from the playoff race.
I'm not sure Johnson, the owner, will lose his Woody regarding Rex this year because they started out pretty good and were showing some real promise.
It's difficult to win with a young QB in most cases.

I am thinking the same way. Some improvement noted. He stays IMO.

The Jets are still listed as in the playoff hunt, according to ESPN.

Ryan was on the hot seat last season, and I don't see a heck of a big difference this season. Don't be surprised if he's a Black Monday casualty.

Another 'possible opening is the Giants. I doubt they fire him, but he could be forced into retirement.

Could be the Jets are still alive.
Maybe when I read that the 61 yard FG eliminated them the author was wrong.

Here's the quote:
When Justin Tucker’s 61-yard field goal won Monday night’s game for the Ravens, it mathematically eliminated the Jets from playoff contention. For Jets coach Rex Ryan, that hurt.

You may be right. The ESPN standings listed all 32 team. I didn't scroll all the way to the bottom and assumed they just included playoff eligible.

I can't believe you didn't try out the multi-answer poll format for this thread, Steady.

I hate to say it, but Tom Cable might be filling in one of those Head Coaching vacancies next season.

I'm suprised it didn't happen last season to be honest....if the Hawks make it to the SB, Cable will be a hot commodity. Heck, even if we don't make it, (bite your tongue, boy), Cable will be a top prospect.

I think it's prolly safe to say that Schwartz is gone in the Motor City after today.

Maybe the Fords'll give the guy the dignity of coaching one more game with his men. But I wouldn't count on it.

That Lions team has been almost as much of a disappointment as the Texans.
