It might be a minute before Riv is able to post y'all, it seems he's successfully locked himself out.

This must be more serious than I thought.
Maybe he should create a new profile until it gets straightened out.

Well my pm's to Mak and Yoder are still in my outbox so evidently they haven't been seen yet. They would have to approve a new membership as well so I don't think there is an easy work around.

Things have changed since we first signed up. Probably a good idea considering the dysfunction some trolls create.

That’s kinda what happened to me. I had to change my email address and in doing so, had to change my username and password. That didn’t go well for a long while , and then I finally got in. Then I let some time go by and forgot my new password and I was stuck. When I would try to start a new account, I received a message that said there already existed an account with that email associated. I gave up for a bit and then I found my password last week. Good luck to River!

I had a similar experience, Sis. Took me a while to get back on. It is amusing to see my start date.

I hope yoder is ok. It's really taking him a long time to fix Riverdogs forum issue. He's usually faster than this.

It's too bad because he always has something to say.
As well, I think he's going to Asia (Thailand, I think) soon so he probably won't be contributing much then, either.

If you don't get this resolved before you leave, RD, have fun on your trip.

Hey Folks,

Yes, I've been in touch with Riv and told him that he has been banned for LIFE!

Seriously though, we've been in touch and trying to get his old account reactivated. Somehow he got locked out, I'm trying to fix it while retaining his posts.

To pull the curtain back, my Stepfather passed away two weeks ago (don't feel bad, he was a jerk) and I've been trying to help out my Mother with the process, arrange things, etc. Life caught up with me and I neglected the shack.

With that said, sorry I haven't been around for a bit. I sincerely apologize, I've been a lame mod and once this passes I'll will try to do better.

You all (especially Riv) have kept this thing alive and have done so much to help me with the undertaking.

Long story short, RiverDog is coming soon to a screen near you!

Sincerely,

Yoder

Yoder, given what happened over at Seahawk Blue, I'm glad you're alright and RD will be back in soon. Thanks for keeping the site going. I don't follow the Seahawks as closely as I did when younger, but I do like a relaxed, tight forum like this to keep tabs.

Just activated the account for a BRAND NEW....DRUM ROLL PLEASE...River_Dog!!! Let me know if it works Riv.

Back in the day, I had the board set to let people automatically register. Then got flooded with bots, up to 20/day with fake spam accounts which became very annoying.

Anyway, he should be back perhaps today! Ok, now I'm off for another 4 hour drive to help out my Ma.

Thanks folks for your understanding!

Yup, it worked! Thanks a bunch, Yoder. This was 100% my fault.

What I did was that I went into my profile to change my email address. The domain itself, excite.com, no longer exists. In any event, I ended up locking myself out, forcing me to open a new account which required administrative approval, so my new handle is River_Dog with an underscore rather than no space between the 'r' in River and 'D' in Dog. I see no need to attempt to re-activate my old account.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words, folks. I see that during my absence, the GOAT of Seahawk internet posters and veteran of the old PI forum, Irish Greg, decided to re-appear. He alone makes up for the disappearance of 10-12 of the more notable posters we've lost over the years.

Ha! I don't know about that. I'm wrong just as much as everybody else, probably more!! I'm really busy these days. Right now I'm getting ready for Spring Football, coaching middle school track and two baseball teams. My day starts at around 7 and I'm home about 9. I do try to read posts on here everyday, just not a lot of time for posting.

I couldn't agree more. Yoder is doing this on an all-volunteer basis. There are no ads, no gratuities, no nothing in it for him. It's a small, tight knit group we have here.

Welcome back, _River! ;) Since this is your thread, why did you come up with River Dog name? I remember you and River Hawk back in the PI days. I’m stream hawk since my specialty is stream and river restoration, and I love my Hawks. Note - I created the name before “streaming” became a thing, lol!

Thanks, Stream Hawk!

I never went by the handle "River Hawk". You might be mixing me up with another poster as I think there was someone from back in the PI Forum days who went by that name.

I've been going by "River Dog" in multiple venues for over 20 years. It seems to fit as I live near a big river, the Columbia, and I like dogs, especially labs, and they're known as a breed that loves the water. There is or was an American Legion baseball team here locally that called themselves the "River Dogs", and I thought it kinda cool, so I adapted it. I even have a Seahawks jersey, #12 personalized with "River Dog" on the back that I'll wear to Hawks games.
