So after he missed the point after, of course the first thing that runs through my mind is, I hope that doesn't come back to bite us.......OOOOPS. I know it was just preseason BUT he seems to be getting progressively worse over the past many years.. and he is not as reliable as he used to be .I say lets get rid of him now before the real season begins before he becomes a potential liability. . Just my 2 cents.

The time to get rid of him was the offseason. Unless there is a better kicker on the FA market—unlikely, I'd guess—then we're stuck with him.

Well the big question would be whom do we get to replace Jason Myers? Jason Myers is a roller coaster when it comes to his consistency and given his track record this is the year he should be Mr Automatic. I am not sure why he can't string two to three years back to back of consistency. However, as much it's a concern I would say we would have to keep him here for now, until he completely falls flat on his face and misses two many makeable FGs. Like I mentioned before we are going to be in some dog fights this year and a missed EP, or late FG could be the difference.

For some reason it's stuck in my mind that he's less reliable on extra points than FGs, which is odd since the extra points are always from the same spot and FGs vary. Maybe I'm wrong on that but I always worry more on extra points than FG's.

Wow! I thought he was a lot better than 23rd. It just goes to show how good the FG kickers are these days.
According to Spotrac if we cut him this year we would incur a $9.26M hit to the Dead Cap (in addition to the Dead Cap hits from Adams and Diggs) so he's probably not going anywhere this year.

Myers must have been reading this thread this week. Gets lit up about being cut after a preseason missed XP and can't even get his last name spelled right. You put a chip on his shoulder Spohawk!

3 for 3 on FG's (58, 51, 47) and 4 for 4 on XP's.
