There used to be a Hawkshack FFL league years ago. Anyone interested in starting one up again? I'll do the commish duties....

I got two if you want to start one, my fiance and I. If we do a Saturday(your time) draft that would work well for us as that would be our Sunday here in New Zealand.

Just page down the Seahawk Forum about 5-6 threads. Cbob is this season and has been for a number of years running Yahoo Pick-um and Survival leagues, and we'd love to have you along. He has the login information in the thread.

What’s up dawg? I hope you’re enjoying retirement. I’m already in Bob’s pick ‘em & survival leagues. I play every year, although I don’t ever make it to week 4 in the survival contest, & I’m not great at pick ‘em either, but it is a lot of fun. What I am referring to is an actual fantasy football league. We used to play it some years back. We had hawk sista, Bob and a few others playing. I remember you were never interested in that. Maybe now that you’re retired you can have a go. Here’s a link for whoever may be interested.

I’d love to bit already in 3 competitive leagues. Is this a free league? I’d consider that option.

Hey, Vegas! I'm doing great in retirement. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, there was a time where I wasn't much interested in FF as there was too much maintenance during the season having to deal with injuries, bye weeks, etc. That's what appeals to me about the Pick-um league. You could make all your picks for the entire season if you wanted to and not have to worry about forgetting something like replacing an injured starter.

However, I'm already in a FF league with my former boss and having to juggle two teams and remember which player I'm supposed to root for is a little too much multi-tasking for me.

We need 6 teams to make it viable. And yes, it’s FREE.

We need you both & at least 3 more. Jump in! We can do the draft whenever you want. However, I’m thinking a full on autodraft would be easiest. Just pre rank your players and let the software draft your team. My brother won it all in our family league last season and he autodrafted.

My fiance gets home from work in about 5 hours, I will post and let you know. Are you not live drafting?

I was thinking that an autodraft would be most convenient for everyone, but I'll schedule a live draft if that's preferred. The season starts in about 82 hours from now, so Let me know if that's what you want asap.

I'd love to support what you've got going on but I've never played traditional FF before, I don't like the idea of being in a position to root against my team.

The biggest problem I have with FF is managing the team as the season goes on, having to worry about byes, injuries, etc. It's a lot of busy work that requires constant monitoring of player status. I've had times when I've gone off grid a day or two before the game and was unaware that one of my players was injured and did not play.

With the Pickum game, you can make your selections weeks ahead of time then edit them along the way so that if you forget or are off grid as I so often am, it's not necessarily a big problem as it could be with FF.

The other thing I like about Pick-um is that it gives you an interest in every game.

We now have 7 teams signed up. Yahoo requires an even number of teams so there’s 1 more needed to draft. If you’re on the fence, join us. It’s fun, & it’s free. As commish, I’ll make sure to keep you posted on your roster management conflicts such as injuries, etc so you have less of a chance of starting a player who may be listed as out.
